Gardening Season 2021 - Final Snap Peas Harvest And More (June 19)

in #garden3 years ago

Hello and welcome to another mini garden update! We are still super busy with all the indoors work we've been doing this week and yesterday was also my niece's birthday so we don't get to do a lot of work in the garden. However, the most important tasks are always completed and anything that can wait is on pause.

Today we had a final snap peas harvest and the space where is was is cleared up for the most part, there's still a little bit of cleaning up to do. It took us a really long time to harvest everything and prepare it for the freezer but it was so satisfying to see the final product and know that, at least when it comes to this veggie, it was a very successful season!

Every couple of days we have some cucumbers ready to harvest and eat. This is our main salad veggie until tomatoes and bell peppers come.

Different kind of beans and peas that were planted later are showing up. It has been really hot these days and some leaves started to turn yellow even though we always try to do regular watering especially during hot days.

Tomatoes that were planted earlier are almost ready! I am so excited as I absolutely love tomatoes, we have been buying some every now and then but those cannot compare to homegrown ones.

Zucchini is growing nicely and every couple of days we get few ready to harvest. On the right we have a bunch of tomatoes that were planted later and this takes up a lot of space but we eat so much of it and also make a lot of tomato juice.

Thank you for stopping by for another short garden update, I hope you're having an amazing weekend! :)
