This is wonderful, @zekepickleman. And how great that you can just go snip as much fresh mint as you want! It's a wonderful herb, but I keep mine contained in a planter. Wow, it really took over that plot!
I love community gardens! My daughter and I were walking around a few weeks ago, waiting for her brother's ballgame to start and we found a community garden and strolled through and looked at everything growing there and talked to a few people there working their plots. It was just so lovely and peaceful.
I read and write about sustainability (for a corporate blog) and I read the other day that there are over 500 community gardens in New York City!
