Progress photo collection from our farming plot

in #gardening9 years ago

We have a small farming plot close to where we live, on the outskirts of the city. You can check the original post here.

Now some photos I took from the plot I have taken a while ago and just uploaded them on my computer.

This is not from our farming spot, but I'll return to this later. This is here only to attract more readers as this is much better thumbnail photo than the next one would have been..

In the front the plant with yellow flowers is tomato, not much tomatoes yet.

Some yellow zucchini, we've been picking a lot of them already and more are coming all the time!

IMG_20170811_174051.jpg
Some rhubarb, we've been eating a lot of this too.

IMG_20170811_174058.jpg
Potato! This is not the latest photo, we've eaten over 50% of our potatoes already.

Not a potato.

This is.. cucumber? No? Some kind of pumpkin?

Flowers, herbs and salad growing in there. We had supposed to have some beans growing up the poles, but they didn't really start growing well since we had a cold summer. You can see a few growing a bit but not nearly as much as the last year.

The flowers are blooming and looking good, though :)

And the chilis are happy too. I had to take the photo really close though, because they didn't grow very big and the plants are tiny! They look mostly sad.

This is not from our plot. This is from one of the abandoned farming plots which are close to ours, so we accidentally went to eat some berries...

Yum!

Very coooool! Gardening is the real crypto mining!!!

What type of berries? I love berries, but all we have are raspberry.
(Oh, and a new bluberry start...but it isnt doing great yet)

Our tomatoes are going mad! It is awesome. We made an 11 jar batch of spaghetti sauce last week.

Soon its time to plant the fall crops!!

I forgot to mention that? It's redcurrant, one of the best berries you can grow at home. They are a bit sour but they taste really good (and it's a traditional plant to make wine from)

Wow, I'm a bit jealous for your tomatoes. I would love to get a lot of tomatoes growing like that. I'm happy you can enjoy them though :)

Very nice! We have our own vegetable garden too and it feels so good to eat something that you personally grew.

PS. That is a pumpkin on the 7th photo. We have one in our garden. 😊

Thanks, it feels good and I'm not sure if it's imagination, but it tastes better when I know all have been grown with love :)

I don't doubt you, I think it's a pumpkin. I think cucumbers have yellow flowers too, but the leaves are a bit different. We have both pumpkins and cucumbers and I always forget which ones are which. Luckily I can see the difference when they are ready.

Super nice. Its pumpkin tree for sure. I don't know if you already know this. In my country we deep fry the yellow flowers from the pumpkin tree. It tastes amazing. Not that healthy though. :P

Anything deep fried is usually good :) Thank you for confirming it, my wife surely would have known if I had asked her too. Thanks for your comment :)

Wow there is a lot!very practical

We have limited space, only 10x10 meters so we'll have to use it all in a good way. I didn't get any good photos, but we have also onions, carrots, beets and some less known underground plants. We even had watermelons growing but a mole ate them.

They wouldn't had grown in such cold weather anyway, but I'm still angry at the mole.

Hello great post from your garde :)

Thanks, it is one of the best places in the world.. too bad I can't get good photos of everything I want.

But it's still a lovely place :)

@apsu Such a beautiful post inspiring natural wellness and awareness. Keep spreading love :) Namaste

Well thank you :D
