its SO true.. farmers have a majorly hard time making money.. mainly because they dont utilise slave labour and work on SUCH huge scales that they can sell stuff for peanuts.. i guess that is why organic produce costs SO much.. but if we all supported our local farmer markets im sure the prices could go down as supply increases and they can grow and sell more locally..
great you also touch on the labelling of things.. and to be honest i dont really trust much of it,, even the FDA approved stuff.. there is NO substitute from buying directly from a farmer who you meet and trust!
