So, how did the garlic and onions that I planted in our raised bed garden back in September do? Well, they did not come out as expected. I had high hopes for these veggies. I made sure I used bulbs/cloves that where suitable for the Southeast and that there are fairly hearty to last though an Alabama winter. Plus, the were non-GMO and if I am not mistaken they were organic also!
As you will see in the video above from our YouTube channel, I was a bit disappointed to say the least!! They were in the ground for about 9 months and looked like they were doing wonderfully. However, after harvesting the onions, I was very disheartened. None of the onions came out as expected. The bulbs I planted were larger than all the onions I harvested.
The garlic was a bit better, but now spectacular. I will be able to salvage the garlic. They did not grow out like I thought they would. BUT, I can still eat the garlic once the have dried properly. I hope they will be tasty!
Well, I will rack this up to "Live and Learn". That is why Little Man and I are out here trying to make ourselves as sustainable as possible. I hope y'all enjoyed the video! Until Next time! God Bless!!

I feel for you! I harvested my garlic last week and it was the same thing. The clove I put in the ground was bigger than what I got out! Very frustrating but I will try again! Hopefully you will get some good tips and if you do please share them!
