El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el día en que adopte a mi hermoso bebé gato, que me motivo hacerlo y como a sido su crecimiento.
Today I want to share with you the day I adopted my beautiful baby cat, what motivated me to do it and how it has grown.
Siempre me han gustado los gatos, los respeto y me parecen unos seres hermoso pero les debo confesar que no me gustaban como para incluirlo a la familia, tenía más preferencia por los perros por ser el mejor amigo del hombre y porque tienden a correr de emoción cuando ven a sus amos, mientras que los gatos son un poco más independientes y no expresan tanta emoción como los perros, sin embargo todo esto cambio después que adopte a brandy (así se llama mi bebé gato).
I have always liked cats, I respect them and they seem to me to be beautiful beings but I must confess that I did not like them to include them in the family, I had more preference for dogs because they are man's best friend and because they tend to run with emotion when they see their masters, while cats are a little more independent and do not express as much emotion as dogs, however all this changed after I adopted Brandy (that's what my baby cat is called).
Todo comenso una noche de mayo del 2020, estaba conversando con mi papá y su esposa y les pregunté si había la posibilidad de que pudiéramos tener un perrito a lo que ellos me respondieron con un no, ya que para ese momento la situación económica en la casa no estaba muy buena (y según ellos un perro tiene más gatos que un gato, les confieso que ambos tienen bastantes gasto y responsabilidad 🥴).
It all began one night in May 2020, I was talking with my dad and his wife and I asked them if there was a possibility that we could have a puppy to which they replied with a no, since at that time the economic situation in the The house was not very good (and according to them, a dog has more cats than a cat, I confess that both have a lot of expense and responsibility 🥴).
Así que pensé "bueno ya que no quieren un perro intentaré con un gato" ya que una amiga había adoptado una gata y me pareció tan linda y me gustaba la idea de tener a alguien a quien darle cariño y sacar a pasear. Así que les pregunté si podía adoptar un gato usando de excusa que en la casa habían varios roedores e insectos y un gato nos podría ayudar a terminar con estos animalitos tan molestos y muchas veces desagradables, y para mí sorpresa les pareció buena idea y me dijeron que podía buscar un gato. Así que me inscribí en una página de adopción de animales y allí contacte a una señora que estaba dando en adopción a unos cachorros siamés, allí ví a mi futuro hijo parecía una rata recién nacida y me enamore 😍 así que decidí adoptarlo.
So I thought "well since they don't want a dog I'll try a cat" since a friend had adopted a cat and I found it so cute and I liked the idea of having someone to give affection to and get out of hand. So I asked them if I could adopt a cat using as an excuse that there were several rodents and insects in the house and a cat could help us to end these annoying and often unpleasant little animals, and to my surprise it seemed like a good idea and they told me that he could look for a cat. So I signed up for an animal adoption page and there I contacted a lady who was giving Siamese puppies for adoption, there I saw my future son he looked like a newborn rat and I fell in love 😍 so I decided to adopt him.
La señora me hizo un par de preguntas, entre ellas en dónde vivo, como está conformada mi familia, a qué me dedico, si e tenido mascotas anteriormente entre otras preguntas, todo esto para corroborar y asegurarse que estaba apta para adoptar y hacerme cargo de ese hermoso ser (brandy) debemos tener en cuenta que un animal no es una mascota ni un juguete, es un miembro más de la familia y va depender toda su vida de nosotros, de nuestro amor, atenciones y cuidados.
The lady asked me a couple of questions, including where I live, how my family is made up, what do I do, if I have had pets before, among other questions, all this to corroborate and make sure that I was suitable to adopt and take care of that beautiful being (brandy) we must bear in mind that an animal is not a pet or a toy, it is one more member of the family and will depend all its life on us, on our love, attention and care.
La señora considero que si podía hacerme cargo de él y me dió la gran noticia de que SI podía adoptarlo 😍😍 pero debía esperar 2 meses porque apenas tenía una semana de nacido y su mamá aún debía amamantarlo (nació el 07 de mayo del 2020). A si que me tuve que llenar de pasiencia y esperar a julio para poder buscarlo y llevarlo a casa.
The lady considered that if I could take care of him and gave me the great news that YES I could adopt him 😍😍 but I had to wait 2 months because he was barely a week old and his mother still had to breastfeed him (he was born on May 7, 2020) . So I had to fill myself with passion and wait for July to be able to look for it and take it home.
Por fin llegó el día en que iría por el 🥰 ya tenía todo preparado su camita donde se le daría la comía, para ese entonces ya sabía comer solo y tenía dientes y colmillos pequeños pero afilados, le consulte a la señora que podía darle de comer y entre las tantas cosas que me dijo me menciono las sardinas, así que le compré sardinas fileteadas para prepararle su comida, tuve que llevar una caja para ponerlo ahí, porque me daba miedo que se saliera del carro o se me saliera de los brazos y escapara.
Finally the day came when he would go for him 🥰 he had everything prepared his bed where he would eat it, by that time he already knew how to eat alone and had small but sharp teeth and fangs, I asked the lady who could feed him And among the many things he told me, he mentioned the sardines, so I bought him filleted sardines to prepare his food, I had to carry a box to put it there, because I was afraid that he would get out of the car or get out of my arms and escape.

Estaba muy inquieto.

Paso todo el camino a casa así, mordiéndose las patas o la cola.

Allí íbamos camino a casa 👆iba inquieto se mordía la cola y las patas e intentaba salir de la caja. Al llegar a casa como había cambiado de ambiente estaba un poco asustado así que se escondía detrás de los muebles. Pero al día siguiente ya fue agarrando confianza y lo sacamos al jardín para hacerle su primera sesión de fotos en las cuales sale hermoso y espectacular en todas 😍 (soy una mamá enamorada).
We were on our way home there. 👆iba restlessly chewed on his tail and legs and tried to get out of the box. When he got home, as he had changed the environment, he was a little scared so he hid behind the furniture. But the next day he was already gaining confidence and we took him out to the garden to take his first photo shoot in which he looks beautiful and spectacular in all of them 😍 (I'm a mom in love).

Y así poco a poco con su cara tierna de mapache se fue adueñando del corazón de todos en la casa y de nuestras camas también 😅 porque le gusta más la cama de nosotros que la de el, así que se la pasa durmiendo por horas en la cama de mi papá o en las camas de mis hermanos y se ve tan encantador.
And so little by little with his cute raccoon face he took over the hearts of everyone in the house and our beds too 😅 because he likes our bed more than his, so he spends it sleeping for hours in the my dad's bed or my brothers' beds and it looks so lovely.

Han pasado ya 1 año desde que lo adopte y cada día me enamoro mas y mas de el, es un gato muy inteligente, súper consentido y por más que digo que no lo voy a seguir consintiendo tanto para no mal acostumbrarlo se me hace muy difícil porque pone su carita tan tierna y siempre terminamos haciéndole lo que el quiere.
It has been 1 year since I adopted him and every day I fall more and more in love with him, he is a very intelligent cat, super spoiled and no matter how much I say that I will not continue to indulge him so much so as not to get used to him badly, it is very difficult for me because he makes his face so cute and we always end up doing what he wants.

Pero es importante que tengas muy en cuenta que es una responsabilidad muy grande que no debes tomar a la ligera son seres vivos al que deberás enseñar hábitos cómo por ejemplo a ir al baño en un determinado lugar, en el caso de los gatos debes enseñarles a ir a su caja de arena, debes cambiarla constantemente ya que ellos son amantes de la limpieza, debes enseñarlos a no rasgar los muebles, a qué sitios de la casa no se deben trepar, a no morder las manos, debes asegurarte de que tengan agua y cambiarla constantemente, ponerle comida tener pasiencia si algo no le gusta, tratar de variar la comida para que no se aburra y no deje de comer, debes vacunarlos y algo muy importante castrarlo si solo te puedes hacer cargo de un solo gato no permitas que se sigan reproduciendo y que sigan habiendo tantos animales en la calle pasando trabajo y hambre.
But it is important that you bear in mind that it is a very great responsibility that you should not take lightly; they are living beings to whom you must teach habits, such as going to the bathroom in a certain place, in the case of cats you must teach them to go to their litter box, you must change it constantly since they are lovers of cleaning, you must teach them not to tear the furniture, where in the house they should not climb, not to bite their hands, you must make sure they have water and change it constantly, put food on it, have passience if it does not like something, try to vary the food so that it does not get bored and does not stop eating, you must vaccinate them and something very important to castrate it if you can only take care of a single cat, do not allow it to continue to reproduce and that there continue to be so many animals in the street suffering from work and hunger.
En conclusión un animalito es como un bebé dependerá de nuestro cuidado y amor para toda su vida así que tomen la decisión de adoptar con mucha responsabilidad, si se animan hacelo tengan por seguro que les queda un emocionante camino por recorrer, repleto de inolvidables vivencias con tu nuevo amigo de cuatro patas.
