This morning I found my dad in his summer house painting a picture on a piece of driftwood.
He is painting the picture for my aunties 60th birthday which is coming up.
The picture is a scene from a landscape they visited in their childhood ,a beach they called bottle bay due to the amount of sea washed glass they found there.
The beach he is talking about is in Rothesay which is a smart Victorian seaside resort and the main town on the east side of Isle of Bute.
We plan to go there to get some footage in the summer.
