Greetings! I join the @wakeupkitty initiative with regard to Mother’s Day which seems brilliant since it allows me to go back to my childhood and all those beautiful moments I spent with my family celebrating Mother's Day.
As they say, remembering is living again, and this time I am pleased to relive those family gatherings where we paid homage and honored our dear mother. Generally we organized barbecues or some special food at home, we rarely went out to eat. My older brothers who live outside the city have always tried to find a way to come visit on that date so that we can all be together.
I describe my mother as a warrior, a loving and hard-working person who has always given all she has to support her family, capable of sacrificing herself for her children.
¡Saludos! Me uno a la iniciativa de @wakeupkitty para el Dia de las Madres la cual me parece brillante puesto que me permite remontarme a mi infancia y a todos esos hermosos momentos que pasé en familia celebrando el Día de la Madres.
Como dicen por ahí recordar es vivir, y en esta ocasión tengo el agrado de revivir aquellas reuniones familiares donde homenajeábamos y agasajábamos a nuestra querida madre. Generalmente organizábamos parrilladas o alguna comida especial en casa, rara vez salíamos a comer fuera. Mis hermanos mayores que viven fuera de la cuidad siempre han buscado la forma de venir a visitar para esa fecha y así poder estar todos juntos.
Describo a mi madre como una guerrera, una persona amorosa, luchadora y trabajadora que siempre ha dado todo de sí para sacar adelante a su familia, capaz de sacrificarse por sus hijos.
Nowadays, we continue to celebrate this day, in a more modest way though; we prepare some food, perhaps a cake, but nothing to do with those celebrations of my childhood and adolescence, those were other times, everything was more accessible, but we keep the same love and warmth.
En la actualidad seguimos celebrando este día aunque de una forma más modesta; preparamos alguna comida, quizás una torta, pero nada que ver con aquellas celebraciones de mi niñez y adolescencia, esos eran otros tiempos, todo era más accesible, pero el cariño es el mismo.
Undoubtedly, the most important thing is to keep the intention to honor that unique and unrepeatable being that God designated to care for us and teach us to face the challenges of life. Those of us who are fortunate to still have our mothers must always show them how much we appreciate them and seek ways to repay them for all they have done for us.
En definitiva, lo más importante es la intención de honrar a ese ser único e irrepetible que Dios designó para cuidarnos y enseñarnos a enfrentar los retos de la vida. Quienes tenemos la dicha de tener aún a nuestras madres debemos demostrarle siempre cuanto las apreciamos y buscar la manera de retribuirles todo lo que han hecho por nosotros.
