The Earth is the principle world known so far to harbor life. There is no place else, in any occasion as soon as possible, to which our species could move. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is the place we make our stand.
It has been said that space science is a bringing down and character-building learning. There is perhaps no better appearing of the propensity for human prides than this evacuated photo of our little world. To me, it underscores our commitment to deal all the more benevolent with each other, and to ensure and treasure the light blue recognize, the fundamental home we've known.
