Meet Krispy - Dog Beach, San Diego Memories

DSC_0462.jpg
Krispy is our beloved boy we got off craigslist from a military man being deployed to Afghanistan, we were lucky enough to
pick him when he was only about 11 weeks. We believe he is Belgian/German Mix although we will get a DNA test one of these days as we are curious.

When Krispy was approaching one year of age my wife and I decided to treat him to Dog Beach in San Diego.
About a 5 hour drive from Vegas Dog Beach is located in a cool hipster sea side town called Ocean Beach. We went right after Thanksgiving and kind of had bad luck with the weather, lots of rain! but we managed to get some quality beach time and Krispy
was able to meet a lot of puppy friends. DSC_0524.jpg
Dog Beach is large enough so the puppies can run freely without leashes and play and swim to their hearts content. The puppies love meeting each other and actually it was quite pleasant meeting the other dog owners. Krispy loved drinking the salt water which immediately streamed thru his backside like a firehose :( I was able to take
some memorable photos and we had a blast watching our boy having fun. The beach was pretty well cared for as the owners cleaned up fairly well and really no complaints except for the weather. DSC_0587.jpg
We stayed at Ocean Villa Inn which backed up to the beach and actually had a dog run that was accesible right out are sliding glass door, this was great for Krispy as he met the neighbors. The room itself was as basic as can be, if you stay here you are really having a vacation for your beloved pet,.DSC_0567.jpg
Not many perks for the humans here. If you are looking for a getaway for your puppy and he likes to swim than this is the place.
here is the info where we stayed. There are quite a few restaurants in the area and the hotel has a shower and towels outside
to clean of your Pup after a day at the beach.

Beautiful photos. We and our doggies are so lucky. Here where I live in South Africa the dogs can go to the beach especially out of season when there are not a lot of holidaymakers on the beach. I will also be posting photos of my dogs on the beach. They love it.

yes we are lucky to have a designated beach for dogs to play! mine loves to swim.

Very good place for dogs! :)

Beautiful pup
