Indeed , today is a great day and a great day is today. Today mark the birth of one of the most peaceful countries in Africa. A day when men could claim ownership of their wife , children, properties and themselves. A day our fore fathers had fought for years to see yet had no clue of how amazing it was. As I read the brave story of the historical background of my countries independence, I take a deep breath of freedom and all I can say is , we are proud of you as a country!!!

Your names shall dwell in the minds of this generation and generations to come. Your productive effort inspired not only Ghana but Africa as a continent to independence. As we celebrate our 61 years of independence today, we as a country know that, it was not by mere bargaining that we had independence. Great men toiled through thick and thins to deliver our mother land. We remember the sweat, the fight and the blood shed by our fore fathers just to make this dream a reality. As we celebrate this great day, We salute the brains behind the enthusiasm portrayed by our forefathers who made it possible. A legacy as such is worth plagiarizing, and hence the need for us to keep the spirit for a super Ghana burning.
