Planning seems to be a recurring theme at the moment 🙂
That's quite a goal for the end of the year! I 'm a bit stuck to be honest. I feel drained. Granted I am dealing with health issues currently but it also feels like Steemit is a huge time vacuum that's not really giving a return of more than maybe a dollar a day. I started experimenting with delegating directly to people, which is nice to do for those just starting out who need a boost if bandwidth but it's not profitable. ( you do seem to get a small amount of interest on a delegation but I haven't been able to find out how it is calculated. It works out at .001 sp every 6 hours on a 100 sp delegation)

I need to find my groove again.
The goal for the year would be if I could get to a place where I could withdraw around $300 usd each month.

Time to break out the notebook and plan out some posts. I have the content, it just needs to be compiled.

It feels like it's only the same 8 people who see my posts though. How would you go about growing your following?

I have a feeling if you keep at it you will get that $300 a month plus some by years end. Cryptocurrency I feel is going to really strive this year and steem has some nice improvements coming along with SMT (smart media tokens)

As much as people hate voting bots it is honestly a good way to get your article into the trending category and getting noticed by more people. It is honestly how I started to gain more traction. That plus of course when you have more voting power people seem attracted to that as well lol.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried the bots for a bit. There seems to be a lot of negativity towards using bots. If you self upvote it is frowned upon. If you use bots, it's frowned upon. If you have specific people that you upvote regularly, frowned upon again so it's hard to know if you should just be all out gaming the system or if you should just try to grow organically.
Decentralized maybe, but playground politics abound.

I managed to rent some sp through minnowbooster and was able to upvote all my followers comments for a while, which I really enjoy being able to do. But I haven't been able to get a hold of another lease for months now.

Have you found promoting a post to make any difference? I find it to be very hit and miss.

I agree, when the markets have settled and everyone has a better idea of how they're going to be dealing with crypto I think we'll see it going back up to December prices again.

Thanks for your encouragement and advice! I'm going to look into it again.

Where do you check your comment count? Or is that your total post count?

Total post count. I have a spreadsheet I track each day so I just subject my posts for the day from my new post count as of yesterday. I just run this on google docs.

Ah ok, I see. Thank you!
