Hebrews 9:7 (NKJV)
7 But into the SECOND PART the high priest went ALONE once a year, NOT WITHOUT BLOOD, which he offered for himself and for the people's sins committed in ignorance;
Some have been Christians for many years and their whole experience of worship only stops at the outer courts!
The Old Testament tabernacle which typifies the level of our worship had the outer courts, the inner place and the most Holy place.
The outer court is the level of routines and most times we're just going through the motions of 'begging' God to forgive us our sins and look up us in mercy. Hebrews 9:6 says, "So with this PRESCRIBED PATTERN of WORSHIP the priests would ROUTINELY go in and out of the first chamber to perform their RELIGIOUS DUTIES."(Passion)
In the outer courts, religious duties are performed. We pray and worship because we sense the need to as prescribed! We sing songs and read the Word of God so as to fulfill the 'requirement' of a good Christian! For many this is where it stops but there is more!
The higher levels of our worship is when we begin to receive light, insight and our spirit begins to commingle with the Holy Spirit of God who gives us light from the Word because the inner courts is where we have the shewbread (the Word) and the golden lampstand (illumination of the Spirit). The inner court has no windows and the only light is the light from the lampstand. This is where Holy Ghost guides is into truth or the realities from God's Word.
It's in the inner court that you begin to experience the currents of God's revelation as your eyes are opened to see things that only the Spirit of God can reveal. The way however into this place is through BLOOD - not the rituals of self performance and rhetorics!
It is the life (blood) of the sacrifice that qualifies you to enter. For us in the New Covenant, it is the thorough understanding of the blood of Jesus' sacrifice that opens us to this realm of fellowship. Instead of 'begging' for forgiveness, you're declaring with boldness, "... in whom we (Arome) HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins" (Colossians 1:14 - Emphasis mine).
When scriptures line this takes root in your consciousness, you've gone past your self and your fellowship with the Father is in a full consciousness of the blood of Jesus as your only pass!
It's only when you come in this consciousness of the blood that you begin to experience the full revelation of God's Word and the wisdom for life!
The highest form of worship is blood worship. As a beloved child of the Father, keep your mind focused on what Jesus has done for you through His blood and your walk with God will take a new dimension!
