These use financial incentives or other solutions to get the data in a more decentralized way, that isn’t dependent on a single third party. Some examples are Chainlink and Band Protocol.
Interesting article about what Vitalik Buterin thinks could be the biggest problems facing crypto right now. Chainlink is on my short list of cryptos to buy, I probably need to do that while prices are low, even though they're likely to go lower. I'm still doing research on the best to buy going forward.....
