Golem Overlord - The game explained by the top of the leaderboards

So I'm enjoying this game enough that I figured I'd write a post about it. Currently I'm sitting #1 on the leaderboard, and have 3 alts right outside the top #25, so I think I've got some thing figured out,(at least till the next time Yixn wakes up.) I figured I'd share my take on what the stats do, and different builds I'm using.

First Stats,

stats.png

I'm gonna start bottom to top, oddly it's easier that way.

Banked- increases your cap space by 1 hour every 12.5 you bank up to 100 (past 100 I just put it in, in chunks of 100. This increase cap which I'll go over later, but it's the reason I have it at 500.

Faith- increases your shard chance (later part) and how much you steal when you beat someone up and take their lunch money. It also decreases how much gets stolen from you when you get beat up and robbed. I like other peoples lunch money and having at 21 has let me take lots of lunch money.

Golem- Charging Station increases your Scavenging rate and is not that useful for how expensive it is. I think it will get a lot of utility later though so don't completely sleep on it, which is why mine up to 7.

Fortification- It's your Defense higher it is the harder it is to win against you. Required for a lot of your farm builds if you don't want harvest taken. Only reason it's really this high is because I'm doing more of a balanced explore all the stats build on my main.

Power- it's your attack if you don't like things like "patience" or "farming" this is the one you pick to go take as much money as you can from the patient farmers. Plus it also gives you and hour towards your to be explained later cap. Again I like other peoples lunch money so 15.

Algorithm- Best parts per hours option, this one is really big right now it gives you more parts per hour for cheaper than Golem charging. Even bigger it controls your Claim times, short claim unlocks at 7 algo and long claim unlocks at 15 algo. So I have 15 algo long claim and love it.

Reputation- Here is where you burn parts to increase you level and a lot of people are sleeping on it. The higher you level the more XP/hr it burns as you can see I'm at 5.5 XP/hr but it's starts a lot lower. As you can tell with over 100 still to bun I think level is going to be important.

last level- increases Shard Chance and reduces the timer for your battle energy. Plus I think it's going to have a lot of use down the road so I pumped it early and never stopped it's the highest level in the game so far.

Claiming.png

This is what a fully unlocked claim screen looks. Short is a 4 hour claim that feels more for raider builds and comes with a -25% penalty to that claim, Normal is neutral with no penalty or bonus, and Longer is 12 Hours with a15% increase which really suits farm builds.

At the bottom is SHARD chance you increase it by stacking Faith and leveling up. Shards don't have a use yet but they will shortly when guilds come out and then when Golem Crate come out.

On the right is your PARTS cap and time left till next claim. The Parts cap is made up of multiple things, it is made up of how many parts you can scavenge in the time next to banked, in my case 45.8 hours Power up to Level 10 and Banking bring the hours up and the algo and GCS increase how much you get per hour so increasing any of them bring up your cap.
The last one is claim % and it gets it's own picture.

Screenshot (51).png

As you can see I'm at 135% increased claim 15% for being on Long Claim 15% for being top of the leaderboard, and the last 5% comes from being over 1000 rating. Long Claim unlocks at 15 algo, a lot of people are reaching 1000 rating and if not you still get an increase from lower rating titles, and last the leaderboard the 15% is great but there is a bonus to everyone in the top 200 being a week old game anyone can get there.

The flip side of this is that that % can be lowered if you're playing GO to take as much as you can without ever putting anything into the game it won't work, if you burn less than 75% of what you claim, your claim goes down by that % so I've claimed 524 parts so far burned 4667 and staked 500 so my % is just fine but if hadn't burned at least 395 of those I'd start to lose claim %.

So the last section is gonna be builds if people like this and want me to do one on the Avatar selection box or the activity logs maybe.

So 4 alts 4 basic builds

  1. The main is going balanced, whatever is cheapest is where I'm putting parts for the most part, I won't go over it much since if you read the last bit you already know.

  2. Raider Build 3 main stats Power, Faith, and level. Get your Algo up to 7 so you can unlock short claim and every 4 hours attack till you're full on parts or out of energy. You don't generate anything. People can attack you all day with no fort but since you generate very little there's nothing to steal anyway.

  3. Farm Build Algo, Fort, GCS, some level and some faith can help this build but the main 3 keep generating parts day in and day out with a high fort it's hard to take them from you. I think this may end up being stronger economically than the raider build. the best version is getting your algo to 15 with enough fort to keep it and then Bank at least 500 to have the cap space to collect it all every 12 hours.

  4. Tank Build I'm not sure about this one there's not much of a use yet but it may come into play when PvE (i.e. exploration and Boss Battles) come out but basically a farm with less algo and gcs more fort and faith to take a hit.

I hope this was informative, Cheers Kn0b0dy
