Google maps make buildings and restaurants a benchmark

in #google6 years ago (edited)

Google Maps will make landmarks or local buildings a roadmap for users. These buildings can be shops, buildings, malls, restaurants, mini markets, or monuments that are easily recognizable to users.

This new, unofficial feature has already been encountered by a number of users after updating to the latest version of Google Maps.

They find the narration of the instructions provided by Google Maps is not just a referral to the left or right, but also directs users to turn after a certain building.

"Google Maps leads me to 'turn right after Burger King' I think this is the best update there is. #mindblown," write Twitter account @iamdeemah

Previously, the Google Maps digital map only uses standard directions like turn left, turn right or turn around to guide users toward location destinations.

Such guides seem less sharp. Users often feel confused when looking for directions using a digital map.

With the guidance of the new version will certainly make it easier for users to get directions directions more clearly and accurately. Especially if we pass the streets that are not yet or rarely passed.

KompasTekno also had time to try the existence of this feature. However, guided instruction narratives based on these local landmarks are not yet available in Indonesia.

The riders are now arguably very dependent on Google Maps. In Indonesia itself recently Google Maps added a brand-new series for users, one of which is a special direction (direction) for motorcycles.

Naturally, the number of motorcyclists on the streets of Indonesia is seven times more than cars based on Jakarta Transportation Statistics data of 2016 from the Central Bureau of Statistics Jakarta.

In addition to the general users, the special navigation feature of two-wheeled vehicles in Google Maps is expected to help the online motorcycle taxi drivers who often pass on the streets and need GPS navigation.
