I wrote a week or more ago about how I was having issues with the Computers running the Boinc manager program. It had stopped recognizing the GPU so no longer ran those packets designed for it.
I reinstalled the manager which didn't do anything.
I updated and then reinstalled the drivers for the gpu, which didn't fix it.
It was made even more problematic since other programs where still running the gpu when I checked them.
What fixed it.
I deleted the amicable numbers from the manager and put gpugrind on it, which started running the moment it downloaded.
And now we're going again.

If you have problems with boinc GPU, there may be two distinct problems: 1) BOINC does not recognize your GPU (coprocessor) at all, or 2) the project (Amicable) ran out of GPU work units. Please restart your boinc client (or computer) and then look into Event log of boinc manager, it is under Tools in Advanced view. Near the start there should be lines talking about GPUs. If there are, then it is not 1. Number 2 is actually common too. You can keep Amicable connected together with gpugrid and see if you get tasks from time to time. Some projects are picky and will send you work only if you have GPU with certain capabilities.
