Just started using steem and though about dropping by in the gridcoin community here.
So, I was reading through the April and May issue of Custom PC and there I saw much to my amazement an advertisement of the Folding@Home where it was asking them to come and contribute their PC time to the Folding Community.
I was just thinking because we are already advertising on BAM where we get a few of the new users why not advertise on places where PC enthusiast hang out frequently like Custom PC. I genuinely think that people will have more incentives to join our gridcoin community where they can get paid for doing the same crunching which they will need to do for Folding.
If it cant be done by the foundation why dont we donate for the advertising fund in gridcoin and help attract more people.
More advertisement in these forums is definitely essential for us, but maybe it's not the best time to start this while we're still having issues with some superblocks

STOPYes I think when the forking/superblock issues are solved that is a good idea. And probably after 1 of August... Dunno what they are charging though. On the other hand, a smart outreach campaign would be free and yield the same or better results :)
When the mandatory team requirement is lifted such advertising opportunities will certainly be plausible!
