Growing up playing Tony Hawk, listening to Nirvana, trying to learn to skate, and watching rock music videos on Mtv was a childhood that most people born in the late 80's and early 90's managed to have, and although it may all be If truth be remembered with greater greatness than it should, it is undeniable that the Grunge movement had a boom in the 90's that was influential for a whole decade, and that today it is still important for some adolescent cultures, at least in as far as clothing is concerned.

If you lived through adolescence in the 90's then you don't have to give much presentation to the Grunge culture, since probably a stage of your life was sheltered by that diverse culture, however, some may be wondering: what is grunge? Grunge was (or is, since it seems to be back in fashion) that cultural movement that is based on the "hermit", on dressing as if you don't care how you dress, on living as if life were a game. Skateboarding from one place to another, getting a tattoo, wearing ripped jeans and long flannels, listening to music with a rougher, less worked sound, all of that was part of grunge.

While Punk went more anarchist, grunge went more nihilistic. Punk was against fashion, movement and the rules, but grunge, ironically, was a wave that didn't mind being a wave; the reluctant pursuit of fame was what made grunge find fame. Living life without thinking about tomorrow may have been a bit frowned upon by then, but it really made a difference that personalized the attitude of most millennials, being as relevant as it was interesting to talk about culture. and go beyond just knowing it as "the rebellious age of the 90's teens".
