Feels great to be back home, especially when it's been one of my longer travels than usual of over 3 weeks. While naturally I wasn't fully off-hive, it still felt quite refreshing to only to cater to a few things and focus on just enjoying japan for a while.
The thing I dislike the most from coming back from my travels is all the stuff I need to catch up on that's been happening since I've been gone, such as checking out the hivefest streams with the presentations there and checking out what our devs have covered in the holozing world.
This'll be a short post, I'll include a few pictures from my phone but will have the camera owner @hiddenblade edit all the other pics worthy of sharing for more proper posts later. Although I have to say I'm not a good photographer nor am I good at traveling as it became apparent, most of the evenings we just went to a few local izakaya's or pubs to have some beer and call it a night after walking most likely 2000% more every day than I do here (which I plan on changing now that I'm back). In general I'm not great at going places to take a lot of pics and at times it just felt like bringing the camera with me every where I go was kind of a burden. xD Probably cause I had enough bodyweight to try carry around as my feet were screaming wtf is going on due to the sudden change of activity.
Either way, Japan was amazing. In the beginning I kept getting amazed by how well maintained and pretty everything is there for simple things like streets, road signs, etc, not sure if it's cause I'm comparing it to the philippines a lot but I couldn't help but instantly wanting to live there. Even though that'd be quite a bother itself due to needing to learn the language, etc, it'd still be nice to live there for many reasons, but most likely just a pipe dream for now, unless pewdiepie has some good connections to make it easier for another Swedish-speaking bloke to move there.
Probably a lot to say that'd make this post longer, but I'll just keep it short for now as I'm still settling in and going through hive things.
Thanks to everyone who's been sending me messages wondering why I'm not posting and wishing me a nice trip when I explained the reason! This trip felt quite nice and I feel refreshed to get back at things, maybe it felt especially nice since a friend of mine sponsored my expenses knowing hive hasn't been doing all that well xD as they say, free food tastes the best, I guess!
Looking forward to becoming more active again with curation, posting and continuing work on my projects and reporting on that, thanks to all the great hivers still around and building either projects, stake and/or connections, that's what its all about!

Welcome back to Hive !
I'm keen on seeing the pictures of your travels.
I admire the Japanese and always wanted to visit there myself.
Yeah they're really amazing people, even though there's so many tourists there these days there wasn't a single time I ran into any issues!
Wow, that's interesting
I'm jealous 😢 lol
Yeah, I believe you when you said you didn't run into issues. The book "ikigia" portrayed the Japanese as simple people.
may I ask why you're upvoting your own comments?
I'm surprised you noticed that. You take note of details.
Honestly, there's no special reason.
I first saw the downvotes on your comments and I felt it wasn't nice of the person so I upvoted your comment and I saw that my vote power has increased by 0.001 so I just played around with it.
There's really no specific reason.
My vote power isn't worth much so I played around with it when I saw the increase.
It might sound hard to believe but it's the truth.
ye was just curious, i usually like spending voting power on others and since i did vote up your comments it felt a bit weird seeing you self-vote as well
usually something that makes me not wanna vote people in the future if they "waste" it on themselves rather than others.
Oh, I understand your point of view now.
I'm glad you asked before judging me, thank you. I have never really thought of it that way.
Funny how I check your posts and comments before making a decision to do something on Hive. It has saved me from accidental mistakes.
Glad to have you back on Hive, @acidyo ! Japan really does have that charm , everything feels so clean and organized. Can’t wait to see some of those photos once @hiddenblade works their magic!
Pictures pictures!!
Welcome back (even though you might not be happy to be back lol) and not much going on, some scammer asking for money for a non existing mother treatment, people talking about low hive price and so on 🤣
One hive is over 5 yen!
Haha I remember as a kid when I watched Japanese cartoons like ranma and such and they talked about milions of yen and I was like WTF? 😂
that sounds like a great, fun trip .. welcome back!
Also ..
music to my ears :) 💪
hehe check the chart i left here in a reply on this thread, wasnt exaggerating much :D
that is some serious step count . woohoooo 🤩
Yay! I’m so pleased to see you back and that you’ve had a lovely time. You’re surely part of the furniture in the hive , it’s just not the same without you!. :)
Greetings @acidyo ,
Sounds like a very honest post....hehe.
Japan is one of the special places in the world.....The people and the food...such a beautiful culture. If you have opportunity to befriend a Japanese person...it is a most valuable experience.
Welcome back.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
How do you plan to increase your step count? Personally, I'm considering buying a walking pad to increase my step count while sitting at my desk. I spend a lot of time at my desk because of my studies and work, and I actually avoid going for walks.
Maybe my suggestion is a bit silly, but I'd like to hear your opinion and see what you plan to do to increase your step count :D
It's great that you're more active again, and I'm looking forward to the Japan recaps ;)

Couldn't you get the time AND the location both right at the same time?
I wasn't the one doing the planning in this case unfortunately, I was just along for the ride. :P
Yet you are the first to balme (alphabetical order) :-D
50% of the time i hate alphabetical order every time!
Welcome back it sounds like your trip was both exhausting and amazing at the same time Japan has that effect on people. I love how you captured the little details that made it special from streets to izakayas. Can’t wait to see the full set of photos once @hiddenblade edits them the will probably show even more of the beauty you described. Glad you feel refreshed and ready to dive back into Hive
Welcome back and great to hear you had such a great trip ❤️
We going to see travel posts from you now?
Fewer than I planned but yes:P
Welcome back! Did you hike up Mount Fuji too?😄
Haha not something I can attempt in my current weight class xD
Welcome Home! Did you find a physical TCG printing company to partner with???
unfortunately not, but i got a few leads i may look into! but first lets tackla the issue of actually having any funding for it :D
You know... You could put up like a NFT for sale on the Holozing website.
It would be a placeholder of sorts. High-Level idea here:
Sell a Holozing Pack NFT for like idk $6 and it's a prerelease thing.
Add a disclaimer that buying this NFT will guarentee you a physical TCG pack when they release but if it does NOT release because of any reason you can burn the NFT for X amount of ZING (whatever the rate is at time of purchase maybe?) or something like that?
That way you get a influx of funds NOW with the promise of either delivering the product or at least a consolation prize.
It's like a GoFundMe type thing with at least something tangible eventually....
just my thoughts ;)
There's just not enough funds around here i think, not sure. We do have a kickstarter planned and already in touch with a KS booster service but we're just not there yet in terms of the game being playable etc, it's meant more for the collection physical set and the next set that's meant to be playable.
Our healers are kind of going to be a "not fully finished nft" when they get minted as the art side of things there is behind. People will mint a healer and only get to find out the gender and class then art reveal later so they can play. There's also an arena skin planned to drop when minting a healer.
Hive is just quite rough lately, it's hard to keep throwing hive at zing even by myself since it is down so much. let's hope for greener times soon, although we are also planning a small proposal to help us get out of debt and have some overhead.
I mean... fair point. I guess they would want some $$ upfront before actually printing lol
I have always heard how clean, organized and kind hearted Japanese are.
Good you have gone there and experienced all. Welcome back home and to hive.
It sounds great that you are back and I hope your trip was very enjoyable and you will share your joy with us later.
Welcome back. We are happy to have you back.
People living healthy for a very long old age is another aspect that fascinates me, may be people of Japan are the most happy people living a healthy life style, something to learn.
Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time in Japan those pubs must have been quite ann experience. Would love to hear some of your stories. Btw, 2000% extra steps are too much 🥲, especially when one isn't in form. Peace 🕊
Welcome back. I have always wondered about your absence from posting and wanted to write to you to ask about it, but I preferred not to disturb you.
Suddenly walking more than you're used to is exhausting both psychologically and physically. I'm so glad you're back, and I can't wait to hear about your projects update.
Traveling always leaves us with a good memory, whether it is the landscapes, the food, its people, it is comforting to know new things
Welcome back. Obviously you had an amazing trip.
Welcome back japan is my country dream, i hope i will go to there to know the culture and the fuji mountains, and of course the suicide forest.
Glad to have you back, welcome back my friend. I can't wait to see the photos of your fun trip.
Welcome back and I am glad you had a good time in Japan. It sounds like a pretty amazing place.
Great to have you back sir..
Anticipating your travel pictures🤩
No wonder you were quiet. Japan oh man that is one of my to do list before I die. What was your favorite moment while you were there? Other than going to pub hehe
I think just exploring the many streets and alleys and small shops/restaurants/etc, it was all quite lovely in a unique way.
Ooo cannot wait for the pictures
💪
I think this chart explains it best :D
That's a workout congrats hehe
😂
Welcome back! :D
