A Country that has no gun.

in #gun6 years ago (edited)

Good morning
This is @sansoc

There seems to be a lot of gun control issue in the US these days.
It's because there's been a lot of gun-related violent crimes in school recently.
Relatively, the security of Korea is getting attention.
There are no armed soldiers or police around the olympic stadium, but there is no big accident and the security is stable.
Why?
We do not have to be armed.
Because we do not have any armed people(Its illegal to have a gun)
There is no armed person among the citizens, so the level of security does not need to deploy armed forces.
For the people who visit korea nowdays and whose country allow them to have guns freely,
They would have felt anxious at the very first time because There is no armed police officer who usually gave them a sense of security.
But over time, They might be surprised that nothing violent crime happens in olympic without armed security.
In countries where guns are free, like the United States, alcohol can usually be sold by 2:00 am ... because of the crime rate(I guess)
But in korea, We can drink it all night. Even if we got into a scuffle with passerby. Its just fisticcuff. Thats all.
So, we are used to pretend to be strong whenever we drink alcohol Because we know that we are very safe eachother

When we look at what is happening in the world these days,
I think that what we enjoy as natural can be a desire for someone.

But I believe in the power of ordinary citizens.
I hope that a voice of one person comes together to make a safer country.

At last.
Im truely sorry for your loss.
They were just innocent people.

Sort:

The culture is entirely different in Asia. The culture there promotes honor and personal responsibility. People there don't think they have a right to other people's property. There is much less crime because, frankly, the people don't act that way.

In the US we need to protect ourselves. The government of the US is also not for the citizens.

A few years ago, when I went to Guam my guide advised me not to trespass the native's properties for fear of being shot. It was a cultural shock to me. After that I could see several signs of no trespassing in American movies. It is cultural differences that Koreans don't understand.

Thank you for reading my post.

What I want is that your country be safer

Thats all.

Ironically we have a lot of guns heading to north.

But we are used to those situations.

Be safer and peaceful around the world.
