For insurance, police, and personal organization its always a great idea to stay organized when it comes to your firearms.
Been procrastinating but finally got mine done today so wanted to remind everyone else.
What i personally use is an excel spreadsheet that includes the date the inventory was conducted. Ive compiled a list of items i recommend you include in your inventory along with photos.
Make
Model
Caliber
Serial Number
Color
Date of purchase
Purchase Price
Notate if you have a Photo of the firearm and serial visible
*possibly notate location... if your collection gets too big and you store it in multiple places, note that! Ever almost lost a gun because you forgot where it was? As your collection grows u just might.
Notate if you have the reciept filed somewhere
At the very least i hope this help remind those procrastinators to do their inventory. No one wants to hear of our friends in the community who lost their collection to theives and had no records to give the police and insurance company.
