DApp to mechanize or automate additional Hive rewards for a "original Hive post" that was shared to any mainstream social media platforms like facebook or twitter...etc The extra Hive reward will be based on attention that the original hive post got from any main stream social media platform outside of Hive

Similar to what Snax did or is doing which based the snax token rewards to the attention that the account is getting in a specific platform.

Inspired by the (#)posh initiative in which an original Hive post is rewarded with higher upvotes if shared to mainstream social media platfrom.

@funtraveller Agree, having "viral" content that is rewarded above and beyond the rewarding mechanics on Hive voting system would be an interesting thought. Without hardforks and changes to Hive code, this might depend on the actual front-end. If the front-end where to monetize a URL with ad revenue they could offer a large amount to the actual user, this way if the URL to the post gains huge traffic it will always have income. Thanks for sharing really like this one!

I also posted this idea in the comments of the Hive Hackathon post created by @themarkymark.

I dunno who (or if anyone) needs to see this but I had an idea a while back on the old blockchain to make a Linux distribution centered around utilizing the blockchain. In this case it would be a 'Hive Linux Live CD' with an installation option.

What I was originally thinking was to add all the various tools that make using the blockchain easy from an end user perspective and perhaps adding in a few things that would help developers to one degree or another. Tools like the Brave browser, Hivesigner for desktop, built-in shortcuts for Dapps and per-configured ICE SSB instances for dApps like PeakD, Hiveblocks, Hive-Engine, Blocktrades etcetra.

I did make a few Live CDs for the old blockchain and although they worked I rapidly realized that doing much of what I wanted to include in the distribution was beyond my skill level and I could not find the resources to learn to do the things that I wanted to do so I eventually stopped working on the project after the third version.

Anyway, I hope that someone finds the inspiration to do something like this and I think that it would be very helpful to new users if they could just 'spin up' a Linux distro and have all the tools for utilizing Hive at their fingertips.

@jacobpeacock Having a Distro with Hive included in the package from default would be awesome. If it was stable and done well I could see it gaining popularity, also the easier it is for nodes to open up even better perhaps a "Witness" in a box type option as well. More users with Hive on servers/boxes is obviously more decentralization so sounds great :)

I was thinking more for just dApps, frontends and tools. Any sort of node is a whole different beast!

The main advantage is having a sort of 'unified' interface where all the necessities are ready to go.

I want to see a multiple choice question system for witnesses and Hive members to take.

Sort of like the Political Compass test but with questions relevant to the governance of the chain, attitudes to property ownership and the kind of things which came under stress during the Steem Hostile Takeover.

Users take the test and get suggestions for which witnesses match their attitudes.

That's definitely interesting and I can't disagree okay...

That's actually pretty interesting idea. Currently right now witnesses are really unapproachable and aloof individuals that speak to the common people in what we deal is condescending Klingon. It'd be really nice to have a breakdown of which witnesses or for this that and the other.

I like the idea of implementing ads and then using the ad revenue generated to buy up HIVE on the exchanges and burn it...

Hey @jrcornel --- I agree more marketing on all fronts. I actually like @roomservice proposal to allocate some funds for Advertising on Brave, Brave users are a fantastic match for our community and good targeted group of users. https://peakd.com/hive/@roomservice/proposal-hive-ad-campaign-2020-on-brave-browser. With your concept, I'm curious what is your thoughts to actually monetize that ad traffic so we could burn to increase the price presumably.

Great thoughts you have -- although for this current post would love to hear concepts that Programmers can actually code for an open source tool/project on the online Hackathon :)

Unfortunately that is not my area of expertise. All I could really offer is that I remember seeing steemit, inc take in tens of thousands per month in ad revenue, and if we get a front end doing that on here and then using that money to put a bid on HIVE, that would certainly help things. Especially in times when there is very little demand.

I like the idea of a fun and tokenized chess puzzle that presents random game positions that could lead to win, draw or escaping dangerous positions etc. The game could also feature a mode where people can randomly challenge each other, or give the freedom to host tournaments as well. In the near future, we could get professional chess players involved, thereby opening a new section of the community.

@belemo We have a great group of game developers on Hive, you should definitely share this with them if you're not a coder! Chess would be a great game for Hive to be integrated with and certainly bring in a great group of users. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I'm sharing it now lol. I've discussed with my friend who's a coder and he needs open-source code for Chess game. I'll go look it up

I already have presented this idea to @emrebeyler an year ago or so.
An App to create a post, once a week (to prevent abusers), with followers statistics, who most voted, who most commented, etc, there are a lot of data that could be nice to add here. Twitter have a lot of this kind of things.
Out of topic :)
Take another gif ;)

@doze Nice gif :) Sounds pretty interesting with more advanced analytics you have in mind. Being a data person I can't argue with that. Very cool!

Thanks! :)

Well my idea is this and currently a dev. is looking at doing it:

A "link only sharing" dapp of course on onchain. How it worksis people sharing the news/any links around they find around the interwebs. It will have tipping ability so people can reward easily good links.

@hiveqa thanks for sharing! This sounds like a cool idea perhaps as a Chrome extension? Keep me updated or your dev needs any support with our Dev Portal documentation https://developers.hive.io/ :)

It would be a good idea to have an app as complex as the page, for our mobile devices.
In order to be able to post immediately, I know that it is not time to be on the street due to the situation, but we do not always have a PC on hand.

Maybe there already is and I don't know.

But in my case, I am a musician. There are always unforeseen presentations being on the street.

They are occasions that it would be good to share them at the moment.
but it is always good to share any news, event, etc.
and if it is instantly, much better.

I would like to see a complete overhaul of the HPS and add elections for jobs Stinc formerly performed.

Right now the HPS is controlled by so few accounts that a mere 14 of them control who gets approved or not. That's being conservative, because it's really only 3.

We need to add an 'Unsupport' option, so everyone has their say. When you can only vote in one direction, only those in agreement are heard.

Also, since the system is stake weighted X's 30, the majority of the user's have no real say. This needs to change.

Right now there is a proposal asking back pay for being a Hive Representative. This position is not an elected one, so a couple of whales appointed them.

This does not represent what the platform wants and also shows a need for a huge change. We need to now figure out what positions are necessary, fair pay for these positions and create a new voting feature for the platform as whole to decide who fills those positions.

Without these changes Hive can never become truly decentralized.

affiliate script where when you invite someone who earns that amount of hive you get a reward.

@bobskibob Agree! Some affiliate solution would be a nice addition, the harder part will just need a good solution for actually funding the rewards.

we have 80 million hive

I've always wondered why this has never happened.

I think the main reason is because someone ultimately has to "foot the bill" for rewarding the marketeers, then it could be easy to exploit. So there would be to additional measures to not be exploited such as required actions before the payout could happen.

Right. This is what I was told back in the day. I agree there should be solution for this.

What if one feels his idea is worth more than 15Hives?

Nice picture promoting the HIVE and the hackathon that takes place. That's a great way to open new roads and bring smart people in this blockchain.

Yeah that is a pretty cool animation:)

It's a very welcome initiative. I am non developer, i have managed to pool resources to build it on steem by boostrapping without any support.

Now i need support and developers to migrate it on Hive. The project i am talking about is a photography community BeScouted

I have other ideas how to improve it expand to contests and possibly take a shot of becoming an independent media channel of the future.

Any investors or developers who'd like to jump on a zoom call and talk about this let me know.

Self pitch. Great idea.

I may have missed the deadline, but I'd like to post my idea regardless. I actually just posted it and @abh12345 suggested that I post it here. So, here's the link: https://peakd.com/hive/@moeknows/i-would-like-to-propose-a-proposal-to-propose-proposals

Basically, my idea is a proposal system specifically for ideas (pretty much the same as your post). Users would be able to support ideas in the same way they would a proposal in the DHF. It would be based on accounts instead of stake. It would create a target to which developers could develop and use to justify DHF proposals.

A Dapp just like SocialPay with the Zilliqa social program....you log into the Zilliqa platform using Twitter API, and then after you create a tweet with the #zilliqa tag, and five people like it, you get sent 25 ZIL tokens. IT's genius for a day promotion! check this: https://social.zilliqa.com/about

What? Yawn. The world is never going to jump on through all those hoops..boring.

I have picked your post for my daily hive voting initiative, Keep it up and Hive On!!

being a programmer in 2021 is as lame as being the guy who stood on train cars to man the BREAK levers on the fucking roof lol .

we are all programmers, whether we know it or not

smart contract literacy is in the AI of the beholder

Actually put in work to get regular meetups going locally in the United States as well as across the world for members to actually get rewarded to physically meet and interact.

Sorry but that's the biggest issue right now that we have lost our way. Rewarding people for physically crossing paths and networking in reality is just as important as us interacting and linking together in the virtual world.

Having these meetups being publicized across the platform and promoted as well to fund them taking place would be a huge undertaking.

Although this would cost some startup funding the returns from this would be immense.

Word of mouth is way more important than just hoping people randomly track us down from some social media posts.
