You bring up all the points although I think the branding is less important than you make it out to bed.
Of late Steem got some attention but, pre-Sun we were not getting any attention...most thought Steem was dead or a scam.

Well cant tell for sure, but still ... its the first social blockchain. Also yes ... if we somehow manage to use this publicity and drove it into this new thing, that would be great.
