Estamos ávidos de conocer un poco más de su historia, vivir sus caminos, su clima, sus imponentes campos, saborear desde el café más fuerte, pasando por el autóctono mate, hasta la exquisita carne y demás productos del trabajo en el campo.
We are a group of friends who have decided to live the adventure of traveling by road beautiful landscapes in Argentina today. We are eager to know a little more about its history, live its roads, its climate, its imposing fields, taste from the strongest coffee, through the native mate, to the exquisite meat and other products of work in the field.

We have decided to leave the beautiful and magical city of Buenos Aires, to know the nearby towns, towards the Mar del Plata.
We left just at dawn from the wide avenue 09 de Julio in Capital.
We take the road, but not before enjoying our rich steaming coffee, with sweet rolls and pleasant conversation about the expectations of the route to undertake.
Es definitivamente un privilegio poder admirar regiones como General Pirán con un cúmulo de historias por contar, con unos habitantes orgullosos de su gentilicio, con sus particulares viviendas, conocedores de sus espacios, dispuestos a explicar a los turistas el por qué es uno de los lugares más emblemáticos de Argentina.
It is definitely a privilege to be able to admire regions like General Pirán with an accumulation of stories to tell, with inhabitants proud of their name, with their particular homes, knowledgeable about their spaces, willing to explain to tourists why it is one of the most emblematic places in Argentina.
Nos encontramos con una población de extensa tradición avícola, la cual la ha hecho merecedora de reconocimiento internacional por sus coloridas fiestas en el mes de febrero, con su “Reina de la Avicultura” acompañada de bailes y comidas propias del lugar que incluyen por supuesto aves y huevos que son el soporte económico de la región, y constituyen fuente de empleo segura para sus habitantes.
We find a population of extensive poultry tradition, which has made it worthy of international recognition for its colorful parties in the month of February, with its "Queen of Poultry" accompanied by dances and meals of the place that include of course birds and eggs that are the economic support of the region, and constitute a source of secure employment for its inhabitants.
No podíamos dejar a un lado la visita a su Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción, de impecable estilo Gótico, con características muy particulares, inclusive a juicio de algunos es su atractivo más especial.
Acto seguido, nos vamos a la plaza de la Libertad de la ciudad, y encontramos una joya de la escultura francesa, la réplica de la estatua de la LIBERTAD.
Se yergue imponente al fondo, con su expresión facial perfecta, a pesar de carecer de firma de autor, o alguna inscripción que certifique su origen, los orgullosos habitantes de Pirán sentencian que es una réplica procedente de talleres cercanos a Bartholdi (Frederic Bartholdi, autor de la estatua de la Libertad.)
Es una réplica realmente hermosa, hecha en bronce, se nota que su antorcha, en este caso fue sustituida por una luz pública. Se le ubica sobre un pedestal estrecho y blanco. Con la luz del atardecer pareciera que estos colores se tornan más vivos, es un espectáculo digno de admiración.
En el recorrido conocimos a una mujer, quien ataviada en un elegante vestido y portando en su mano derecha un gran paraguas como augurando intensas lluvias, sólo al hablar de la estatua le brillaban los ojos de orgullo, al afirmar que diariamente camino a su trabajo tiene el privilegio de admirar esta obra, que, aunque no se sabe bien de donde proviene, si es conocido por todos que es una donación de Antonio M. Pirán, fundador del pueblo, a quien le encantaban las obras francesas y además era el fiel complaciente de una esposa con buen gusto.
We could not leave aside the visit to its Church of the Immaculate Conception, of impeccable Gothic style, with very particular characteristics, even in the opinion of some is its most special attraction.
Then, we go to the City's Freedom Square, and find a jewel of French sculpture, the replica of the statue of LIBERTY.
It stands imposing in the background, with its perfect facial expression, despite lacking an author's signature, or any inscription that certifies its origin, the proud inhabitants of Pirán sentence that it is a replica from workshops near Bartholdi (Frederic Bartholdi, author of the Statue of Liberty.)
It is a really beautiful replica, made of bronze, you can tell that its torch, in this case was replaced by a public light. It is placed on a narrow, white pedestal. With the light of the sunset it seems that these colors become more vivid, it is a spectacle worthy of admiration.
On the tour we met a woman, who dressed in an elegant dress and carrying in her right hand a large umbrella as if predicting intense rains, only when talking about the statue her eyes shone with pride, when affirming that daily on the way to her work she has the privilege of admiring this work, which, although it is not well known where it comes from, if it is known to all that it is a donation from Antonio M. Pirán, founder of the town, who loved French works and was also the faithful complacent of a wife with good taste.
Seguimos nuestro recorrido, y a través del vidrio de la camioneta que nos lleva por las calles de Pirán, podemos observar que la mujer en la plaza tenía razón, la lluvia estaba cerca, el cielo se tornó oscuro y las gotas de lluvia no tardaron en aparecer. Y nosotros debemos continuar nuestra ruta…
We continue our journey, and through the glass of the van that takes us through the streets of Pirán, we can observe that the woman in the square was right, the rain was near, the sky turned dark and the raindrops soon appeared. And we must continue our route...
We leave the storm behind and continue with our pleasant talk, about life, and the gift that means being able to make a trip among friends with the sole purpose of sharing and admiring the history and customs of the inhabitants of a country that is built day by day, that surpasses itself and that does not lose opportunity to show the world the majesty of its works.
Dejamos atrás la tormenta y seguimos con nuestra amena plática, sobre la vida, y el regalo que significa poder hacer un viaje entre amigos con el único fin de compartir y admirar la historia y costumbres de los habitantes de un país que se construye día a día, que se supera a sí mismo y que no pierde oportunidad de mostrar al mundo la majestuosidad de sus obras.
