Quiaring my favorite walk in Scotland

in #haveyoubeenthere2 years ago

I have been to Scotland quite a few times as from London is a popular and accessible destination. First time I went to see cities and castle, then to hike the highest peak in UK - Ben Nevis and last time just to wonder around for 10 days.

We decided to walk the Great Glenn Way and after some heavy rain and a bit of logistic issues, we had to abandoned it. Being middle of the lockdown no open pubs along the route makes the journey even more difficult. I am not a fussy person, but sometimes you feel that maybe is the case to change the route and not fight the weather as much.

The walk was absolutely amazing, a proper hiking trail and I had the feeling I was in the mountains back home in Romania. We have been doing it a bit at a faster pace as we booked parking for only few hours and we were concerned that we will receive a fine if we will be late. We had enough time to breath and make pictures, but for me felt a bit too short. I am planning to go back someday and could be that this is the reason why I wrote this post today, to ensure that is engraved in my brain 😂
