On the island of Oahu in Honolulu, Hawaii lies one of the top hikes I've ever done in my life.
My cousin is stationed at Pearl Harbor and offers a good excuse for me to travel out to Hawaii twice in the last three years. I plan on sharing more of those trips soon, but have been eager to share this hike as it was quite challenging, but the reward was well worth it.
Kuliouo Ridge Trail rises roughly 1800 feet before you hit the ridge. It doesn't seem like a lot, but the heat gets you if you're not used to it. It's about a 4-5 Mile round trip that is travelled heavily. And it's not hard to realize why it is so popular.
The views we're spectacular and cause a slight drop in our jaws at times.
This really is a must see. It's not super difficult if you're not used to the heat and hiking in that kind of weather. The terrain is soft and easy on the feet so you could even run up if your prepared for it.

Reminds me a tiny bit of the view at the top of Acadia! Although for that one you can drive the entire way up 😆
