RE: Upvote this post to fund @hbdstabilizer

in #hbd3 years ago

There has been a lot of discussion about this in other threads.. The short version is authors will get paid more if HIVE goes up too. The original design of the two currencies was for HBD to be a controlled stable currency and HIVE to be driven by market forces. The witnesses and stakeholders who are supporting this effort would like to see HBD stable and HIVE go way up.

There is more info on HBD in this post as well. It was written back when it was called "SBD" but all of the logic and economic principles still apply.

Thanks for the explanation and yes I understand it now. Basically the platform will get more popular if hive price goes up and HBD should be used as fiat just like we use USDt in bitcoin

Yeah. There's so much more to this place than simply 'post and earn'. My account is more like a business, since there's money involved. A stable coin is needed here. I wanted to sell 'units' a long time ago, long before NFT was even a thing. At one point I did sell one unit, digital art, for ten bucks that was worth eighty one day and five the next, in a sense. Can't do business like that. Pricing NFT's in Hive means one day I'm asking too much, the next day I'm ripping myself off. Can't do business like that. Can't fill the shelves then continuously adjust prices day to day. Hopefully this gets sorted out. There's a lot of potential in a stable coin combined with a social setting/readily available market.
