I've come across two stories this week from two homeopaths, both approached in the past week by journalists trying to entrap them. Luckily, both homeopaths responded brilliantly.
The first case was a friend of mine, Khush Mark. Unfortunately for the hapless Daily Mirror journalist, Khush wasn't quite the hippy-dippy quack he was expecting. She smelled a rat quite early on, and doubted he really was 'enquiring on behalf of his nephews'. Here's my favourite extract from Khush's response to the journo (link to full article below):
..."I have a Ph.D. in Oncology, a BSc in pharmacology, a Masters in Molecular Pathology and Toxicology as well as a B.S. in Human Nutrition and a licentiate in Homeopathy..."
Ops, they weren't expecting to be debating with a (gasp) 'real' scientist!
Khush read me the original transcript (she'd recorded it), he basically played the smug intellectually-superior card of 'Well of course there's no evidence this stuff works, you're just conning these people, aren't you?' He implied that people with autism, ADHD etc should only be treated with 'real' medicine (ignoring the fact that many cases of autism & ASD are CAUSED by this 'real medicine'!)

The second case was in Ireland, a journalist by the name of Catherine Sanz (working for The Times) approached a homeopath called Kelly Johnson and attempted to entrap her into advising not to vaccinate for measles. Again I have included a link to Kelly's blog where she discusses the incident. Apparently this Ms Sanz has previous form attacking anything that isn't pro big-pharma (we'll have to keep an eye on her). Once again our brave & intrepid natural health practitioner responds brilliantly and demolishes the hack's arguments one by one.
Again, here's the link to Kelly's response: http://kellycsjohnson.com/journalistic-entrapment/ (there's even the recording of the conversation near the bottom)
Kelly had emailed the editor of the newspaper but never received a reply. If I remember correctly the same paper wrote something defamatory about me a few years ago too & I had the same response - I emailed the editor to protest, but was ignored. Incredible journalistic integrity from the same press that supported the Irish government's decision to nationalise the losses international financial speculators made gambling on the Irish housing market, and was complicit for years in playing down the paedophilia and other abuse being carried out all across Ireland by catholic priests.
There's clearly a new campaign underway with big-pharma working through their media contacts, front organisations (like the infamous Sense About Science & the Nightingale Collaboration) and captured agencies (like the Advertising Standards Agency & the MHRA - UK equivalent of the FDA) to:
- Continue to stoke the fear of infectious diseases (and hence the demand for whatever new vaccine they've just patented).
&
- Continue attempting to discredit actual healers like homeopaths and campaigning to restrict people's access to information & actual healing.
However, it makes me glad to see people finally pushing back. Back in the mid noughties when I was still training, there was a well orchestrated campaign against natural medicine by these same dark forces. They terrorised the homeopaths at that time, most of whom are gentle, empathic ladies unprepared for the level of nastiness they were subjected to. It got so bad, even the public relations person for the Society of Homeopaths refused to speak to the press for fear of being attacked (er, isn't that your job?).
We've got to stand tall & not let the bullies silence us. Thank goodness for uncensored platforms like Steemit!
Thanks you for sharing the horrible treatment that the media is giving to alternative therapists who are actually helping. I suppose it goes against their narrative that many or most of these people are actually highly educated and ethical rather dimwits or con-artists.
I completely agree with this line:
Resteemed!
thank you as always @canadian-coconut ...it feels like I finally have a platform to talk about this stuff.
You are welcome!
P.s. you mispelled "mid-nineties"
noughties i.e between 2000 & 2010
Thanks for re-streeming.
you're welcome.
The big pharmaceutical corporations are like drug pushers---they don't want anyone cutting into their 'turf'. This kind of criminality goes way back, e.g. in the 1600s herbalist Nicholas Culpeper experienced similar persecution for his efforts to put medicine and natural healing back into the hands of the people. He translated The London Dispensatory from Latin into English so the average person could understand it and know how to grow and use herbs for healing. This brought down the wrath of the College of Physicians who branded him as a charlatan, not to mention The Society of Apothecaries who were infuriated by the fact that Culpeper offered inexpensive herbal remedies as opposed to their expensive concoctions. I guess it's an ongoing battle.
Yes! Very true. Rockerfeller's managed to stamp out natural medicine (homeopathy & 'eclectics', who were basically herbalists) that dominated US general practice in the mid 19th century.
The elderly Mr. Rockefeller barely looks human---more like The Mummy. I can just hear my Dad saying with a face like that, he could 'haunt a house'!
I've added you to my Following list---looking forward to more of your excellent posts.
Looks like he was weaned on a pickle :-D
LOL! I've never heard that one before but it sure fits! I think in Rockefeller's case it may have been literally true too. A documentary I watched quoted his mother as saying --when he was a little boy---that she couldn't wait for him to tell her what he wanted for Christmas so she could deny it to him!
You're very kind, I shall do likewise :)
Globalist corporations like the big pharma ones don't like the competition especially when the competition treats the disease and not the symptoms.
Thank you @wakeupnd followed
People say bad things about the things they dont undrstand :(
Sad, but true. Thanks for the chat.
And the sad reality is that these homeopaths are considered a threat to Big Pharma and they should be watchful if speaking out and exposing the truth
