Know the World of Radiography
Part 1
Radiography is the study of the use of ionizing rays (X rays or gamma rays) to show the anatomy of the body.The use of X-rays is most commonly used in radiographic examination.
X-ray was first discovered by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen of Germany in 1895. He is a scientist of physics.When first discovered this ray has no name, so given the name of X-rays, later in the day this X-ray is also called the Roentgen rays as a tribute to Roentgen.This X ray is invisible to the eye and its wavelength is very short.
The discovery of this X-ray raises the pros cons in society as like other discoveries. Many people the clouds protest against this discovery because they think the discovery of X-rays will disrupt their privacy and exposing their naked bodies .So it violates human rights.
This historic discovery changed the world of health, where previously to diagnose the disease is still very limited choice of examination, but with the x-rays getting easier in diagnosing the disease.
The use of X-rays in everyday life
- In the field of Health
Low energy X rays are used in radiographic examinations to produce an anatomical picture of the body in order to establish a diagnosis, while high energy X rays are used for treatment, which destroys cancer cells - In the field of industry
Used to know the disability in machine assembly, to know the leakage of the pipe and to check the cracks in plastic or concrete - In the field of Security
Used to help detect a danger hazard somewhere, for example at the airport or at the port. - In agriculture
Used in creating superior seeds quality, also to assist fertilization
