Hello everyone! I don’t know about you but we like to know what we are putting on our babies bottoms. Most commercial baby products have way too many harsh chemicals in them that could cause a baby’s sensitive skin to have bad reactions like breakouts or rashes. These chemicals can even cause future health problems for your little ones. What we put on our skin goes into our bodies affecting our long term health.
I want to share with you how we make our chemical free baby wipes that are safe and actually good for your baby’s skin. These wipes are cost sufficient and easy to make. You may already have most of the ingredients right at home in your pantry.
Ingredients

- 1 roll of Viva paper towels (or a similar brand that is a heavier duty)
- Empty baby wipe container
- 1 Tablespoon of Liquid lavender castile soap (we use Dr. Bronner)
- 4-5 drops of Lavender essential oil
- 4-5 drops of Tea Tree essential oil
- 1 Tablespoon of Organic extra virgin coconut oil (or olive oil)
- 2 Cups water
- Wooden spoon
Directions

- Cut the paper towel roll in half using a sharp knife.
- Place the paper towel roll cut side down in the empty baby wipe container.
- Pour the castile soap, coconut oil and essential oils into the 2 cups of water and mix together well.
- Slowly pour liquid mixture over paper towels in the container making sure to get the top, bottom and sides of it really well.
- Close container lid and flip over letting it sit for five minutes to absorb.
- Pull cardboard out from the inside and discard.
- Enjoy your new homemade chemical free baby wipes and be happy knowing that your baby’s skin will be safer and healthier :D
Please let me know if you ever give this recipe a try. If you have your own recipe or have tried a similar one to this one I would love to hear about it in the comments below!

My pleasure!! 😉
Thanks for the support!
I haven't tried making homemade wipes yet, although I've made most of the body care used on my toddler. I will have to try it. Thanks!
I think you would love them. They are good for an all-purpose wipe as well. We use them for spills and quick cleanups around the house and when we’re out and about. You can change them up and use different oils. Please let me know if try them.

@crosheille I got the ingredients I was missing but got distracted and didnt make them this weekend
It happens to me all the time...I’m distracted quite often.
@crosheille Same for me I am always busy but not always with what I should be busy with LOL
LOL!! I’m guilty of that too!
Oh I love eco stuff!!! Thank you for sharing this tutorial with us, so lovely of you 💚
I do too!! It was my pleasure. Thank you so much for watching. 😊
Thank you for sharing. Although I'm not a baby, I like to use Baby Wipes. Good idea, especially not to use chemicals. Regards.
Oh yes definitely! They are great for small spills and quick cleanups as well. We use them for multiple purposes so I think you would enjoy them. 😊
I absolutely LOVE all homemade products= no chemicals!!
So do I!! 😃
Thanks so much for visiting and for your support!
I just finally forced myself to make up my wipe solution yesterday! I couldn't remember the exact recipe so I sort of made it up, but it's very similar to what you call for here. I LOVE homemade wipes! With my son we invested in little flannel wipes that I just washed with his diapers, but aside from that - same concept. So much nicer than commercial...
We have another set we use in the kitchen once solid food is on the menu!
Thanks for sharing!
That’s so awesome! We love using these and we use them for multiple purposes like small cleanups or wiping tables off at restaurants when we go out. I wanted to get into cloth diapers but never did. But these wipes have saved my children from rashes.
No problem it was my pleasure. Thanks for watching. 😊
I hope you are getting some rest and recovering well and that baby girl is doing well~ 💓
