The strongest antioxidants in the world

Top list of the most powerful antioxidants in the world. Today's Ranking.

What are anti oxidants?

source

Antioxidants are chemical compounds that can prevent or slow down the action of free radicals (so-called oxidative stress).

There are two groups of antioxidants that are important in the body (in vivo):
antioxidants synthesized and controlled (endogenous - enzymes, proteins and other metabolism products) and
antioxidants from food (exogenous).

What are free radicals?

There is a theory that the aging process is precisely the result of the action of free radicals.

source

Free radicals are unstable molecules, or ions of high reactivity, which in the body enter into chemical reactions with cellular components (proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, DNA molecules) leading to biochemical, structural and functional disorders.

Free radicals are left without their electrons and are therefore unstable - reactive!
They will take the electron from anywhere (another atom or molecule).
Then it becomes stable but this molecule becomes a free radical.

This it is becomes a chain reaction with unpredictable consequences.

What is oxidative stress?

Oxidative stress, in fact,
indicates the state of the organism in various diseases and poisoning when increased production of free radicals and their adverse effects overcomes the capacity of the antioxidant defense system of the organism, leading to a series of pathophysiological disorders with sometimes very serious consequences.
Oxidative stress may have different origins and development.
The basic division is on the endogeno and exogenous genesis of this process.
In the first hearing, therefore, it is created by the organism itself,
while in the second it of exposure to xenobiotic
such as pesticides, heavy metals or some drugs, alcohol, smoking etc.
as well as external influences such as ionizing and UV radiation te
stress.

Such a condition is a disorder that leads to various diseases.

Cancer is best known.

How do antioxidants work?

source

Oxidation = subtraction electron,

Antioxidation = donating electrons !!!

That's what antioxidants do.

Where are?

source

Our body and only creates antioxidants for successfully solving all problems with free radicals. And that's enough that is when we live normal.

When we live abnormally?

source

We must help our body and strengthen our army by bringing new strength.

That power is in foods rich in antioxidants.
There are also synthetic (artificially obtained) antioxidants(with them manufacturers keep food fresh for a long time).
Here I am not be about them.

Antioxidants are naturally found in fruits, vegetables, coffee, tea, wine and chocolate.
And most in spices !!
There are thousands of antioxidants, and you probably know the most famous:
flavonols (which are in chocolate), resveratol (in wine) and lycopene (in tomatoes).

Other popular antioxidants are vitamin A (beta carotene),
vitamins C and E.

Oxidant strength is expressed in ORAC units (oxygen radical absorption capacity).

What is ORAC?

The usefulness of food from the aspect of free radical absorption in the body (antioxidant property),
under the abbreviated name ORAC,
expressed in units on to 100 grams of food.

USDA, US Agency for Medicines recommends consuming from 3000 to 5000 ORAC units per day.

Food ORAC results - USDA

1 Red beans (dried)half cup................................. 13727
2 blueberries 1 cup ...............................................13427
3 Red kidney beans (dried) half cup ....................13259
4 plain beans half cup ..........................................11864

It's best to look at an image (yes I do not have to translate in a variety of languages), go to:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen_radical_absorbance_capacity

By clicking on the name, here is and the picture.

These are the figures of an illustrative character. They are not entirely explored. The diaries are derived only from "invitro" and not "invivo" (in the body).
USDA has therefore dropped out of this table( 2012 godine).

But she still talks about the amount of antioxidants present.

New candidates are coming in recent years ...This are real stars...

Acai Berry 102 700

source

Acai berries have long been a part of the Amazonian native food.

They look like purple grapes and have taste tropical berries, and thanks to the high content of anthocyanin (pigment that can also be found in red wine),
acai berries are one of the strongest antioxidants in the world.
It is best to use acai berries stored by frozen freeze drying (drying the product in frozen state) because they contain the most nutrients.
If you are buying acai berry juice, choose one that is not pasteurized or heated in any way.

Cocoa 95 500

source

It is good to know that most cocoa (and commercial chocolate products) are produced according to the "Dutch method" at a temperature of 150 degrees Celsius.
This process destroys most of the antioxidants and nutrients in cocoa. Try to find raw cocoa powder or grain from certified organic breeding.
Such cocoa was not subjected to temperatures above 40 degrees, which is why all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants were preserved.

And very interesting - spices are strong oxidants

clove ........................................... 285.500 - 314 446

cinnamon .................................. 105.500 - 267.536
sage ... ......................................... 99.900 - 240.100

Another interesting source!

Dark chocolate ............................20 816

That much for now

Do not forget!
Antioxidants contribute to reducing the risk of a variety of diseases:

cancer

heart and vascular system disorders

Parkinson's and Alzheimer's

diabetes

arthritis and rheumatism

skin diseases

premature aging

depression

####If you have not already.

Start changing habits.

Health preservation has no alternative (if you like to live longer).

What do you think?

until next time, many greetings
