Currently Cardiovascular disease is the biggest killer in the UK, what can we do to change this?
So currently with cardiovascular disease being the biggest killer in the UK, its clear that we need to make a change.
But what can we do.
First of all, we can change our Diet.
Our diet over the past 200 years has massively decreased on terms of essential minerals and vitamins.
This is down to the rise of quick and easy prosccesed food, now we're all very accustomed to microwave and oven meals aswell as every other foods that don't look like you've just picked it from a tree or pulled it from the ground.
Cardiovascular disease is caused by too much LDL cholesterol depositing in the veins and arteries, over time this hardens and turns to plaque in the arteries, restricting the blood flow inside, like pictured below.
On the other hand, there are also foods that contain HDL cholesterol which removes LDL plaque build ups from the arteries and disposes of it out the body.
By removing LDL cholesterol foods like, meat, butter, milk, eggs and processed foods, and including foods with HDL cholesterol we can effectively end heart disease...
