It found that the number of overweight persons with wrong perceptions about their weight in the world went up from 48.4% to 57.9% in men and 24.5% to 30.6% in women between 1997 and 2015.

Around 180 million people are overweight in india ,including 4 million children and teenagers between the ages of 2 and 19,The New England journal of Medicine last summer.The numbers are rising rapidly.Over the past decade the number of overweight people almost doubled from 10.5% adults in 2006 to 19.6 in 2015,

Obesity raises the risk of several diseases,such diabetes,hypertension (chronic high blood pressure) heart disease images,,.pngkidney ailments ,low back pain,joint problems,and several cancers including of the uterus ,breast, gall bladder colon,rectum and kidneys.

Healthy weight is define as body mass index( BMI ) calculated by weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared.According to the international BMI range a BMI of less than 18.5 is underweight 18.5 to 24.9 is normal,25 to 29.9 is overweight and 30 or more is obese.

Foods low in sugar ,processed carbohydrates ,saturated fat(oils that solidify at room temperature found in animal,dairy and processed products) and high in unsaturated fats(mustard ,olive canola oils) fruits ,vegetables,pulses,whole grain and nuts activity seven days a week keeps weight healthy and lowers disease risk.
