Here in Philippines coconut oil is called "lana". It is use in traditional medicines. Like for example, a potion for love. Lana is use in preservation of the different roots of various plants and etc. It is also used in cooking in early days, but now no more. In the process of extracting the lana, before it will become lana, a residue from the process is called "lonok". There is it! Lonok is the delicious one! That even our early ancestors use it as viand during meals.
