How to Tell If You Have Parasites & What to do About it

in #health7 years ago

Millions of people go around each day infected with parasites and don’t realize it. Here is how to tell if you are one of the many people infected and steps you can take to get rid of them.

Have you ever wondered why you get those uncontrollable cravings for carbs? Do you or someone you know suffer from digestive disorders, autoimmune disease or experience mental distress? Well, it just may be parasites. Many Americans have been misdiagnosed and are often given medications for diseases they don’t even have. A parasitic infection can often disguise itself as being bi-polar disorder, panic attacks, insomnia, digestive disorders, chronic headaches, fatigue, allergies and more.

So, What is a Parasite?
“A parasite is an organism that lives in or on another organism (its host (you)) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the host's expense.” Parasites can come in various shapes and sizes. Some of the most common are;

  • Tape worms
  • Hookworms
  • Giardia
  • Blood flukes
  • Pinworms

Symptoms of having a parasitic infection may include but are not limited to;

  • Digestive disorders such as, diarrhea, Chronic constipation and irritable bowel syndrome
  • Inflammation
  • Anal itching during the night
  • Chronic headaches
  • Uncontrolled food cravings
  • Skin conditions such as, psoriasis or eczema
  • Mental health instability

There was a study done by the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry which tested individuals who were diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder. Below is an excerpt of an article written by Huffington Post about the study.

“Researchers from the University of Chicago found that the relatively harmless infection, called toxoplasmosis, may be associated with Intermittent Explosive Disorder, a mental health condition that triggers recurrent outbursts of aggression in situations that don’t necessarily call for it.

The study examined 358 adult subjects who were evaluated for IED, among other psychiatric disorders like depression. Volunteers were also scored for signs of impulsivity and aggression, two symptoms of IED, through a psychiatric test. The subjects were then sorted into three groups based on the results: One group had IED, another had other psychiatric conditions and the last group was a control group with no mental illness.The authors found that the group with IED were twice as likely to test positive for toxoplasmosis than the control group. Nearly 22 percent of the IED group had the infection, compared to just 9 percent of the individuals without mental illness. Approximately 16 percent of those in the “other psychiatric conditions” group had the infection, but reported similar test scores in aggression to the healthy group. Toxoplasmosis-positive individuals scored higher in aggression across all groups.” (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/toxoplasmosis-mental-health_us_56f0642ae4b09bf44a9e2bb3)

Other life disrupting disorders such as autoimmune diseases that affect the gut and joints causing inflammatory responses are directly related to parasitic infections. Those who suffer from Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis and IBS are prime examples. The symptoms from these conditions can be debilitating. However, they can also be brought under control with regular detoxing, diet changes and exercise. This process allows the body to strengthen the immune system and cleanse itself.

How to get rid of a parasitic infection?

Cleanse

During the cleanse only eat raw organic fruits and vegetables for 7 days along with taking a cleansing formula like:

What to Eat

  • Eliminate all processed food and sugar from your diet. This includes food that convert to sugar like bread and pasta.
  • Add only organic, bone broth, meats, poultry, wild caught fish that have scales and fins along with fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet.

This will allow the body to detox and take in the good nutrition and fiber it needs to help during the cleansing  and healing process. Repeat the cleansing process for 3 months straight. Continue with the diet as a part of a daily lifestyle with an occasional detox for optimal health.
