Got a little lazy with my kombucha making and the scoby multiplied and got huge! Like 4 inches thick in just a couple of months. This organism never ceseases to amaze me. Restarted the vessel with a fresh black tea batch. Will be cutting these up to make a lot of new scoby and feeding the rest as a probiotic supplement to my chickens. Finally getting back on the booch.

looks like what we call the foofoo in Nigeria

Haha I like the name foofoo better :) Do you make fermented tea with foofoo?

@naturealwysright,

I got recently introduced to Kombucha, and I love it.
My wife @curiouscoco and my sister in law @danivannova show me this yummy drink, and now we all are kind of addicted to the richness of nature.

And I hope you do not get this wrong this is not meant as a fishing comment.:DFunny is that they also made a post with Kombucha the other day. @soulsandsisters is the name of their blog if you want to check them out.

Anyways how do you make your own Kombucha? We drink so much of it hat it would make sense to make our own.

By the way, I love your name and subscription is also out.

Greetings @experimentel

Nice ya I'm addicted to it too. Thanks I'll check it out. I make mine in a ceramic vessel. 2.5 gallons of water, 20 black tea bags, 2.5 cups of organic cane sugar. Sub'd you back!

Nice, thank you very much! We will definitely try it out.@naturealwysright,

Greetings @experimentel

I like a piece please!!! My last batch got a weird mold on it and I decided that I needed to take a break for a little bit.
But scoobies are excellent chicken food as well :)
No rush on the scooby

Sure I've got a hotel full of scoby. Just let me know when you are ready to restart :) Ya chickens love them!
