It used to be a fashion to carry the newspaper to the loo but these days the mobile phones have taken over the trend.

Today’s mobile phones have being so designed to be able to do almost everything. These devices now serve a variety of purposes from being mobile lanterns to our standby televisions. They are very versatile, hence their efficiency.

Now, that we know how efficient this piece of equipment is to us, they can also be a means by which some harmful microorganisms can get into our bodies. These microorganisms are so merciless that they can cause us sickness and diseases.

One of the bacteria we can actually contract is the Salmonella, which is the major cause of Typhoid fever. This fever can make us really sick, recollecting from my earlier encounter with the sickness in April.

Some experts say that we may not actually cause ourselves to be ill by physical contact with our own fecal matter but we can make others sick. The major concern of using our phones in the toilet to be aware of the particular toilet we are actually using to ease off. Is it a public toilet or a toilet in our bedroom? Well, the difference is clear.

We should be very conscious when taking our phones to the toilet. Dropping it on the floor or on surfaces close to the flush could be a very bad idea. Splashes from the toilet can fall on those surfaces we might intend to drop the phones thereby leading to a transfer of germs onto our phones.

Our major concerns here in this case scenario isn’t to worry about our phones getting dirty because there are others places that they can actually pick up dirt from. We should be more concerned about keeping our hands clean at all times. Making sure to wash them regularly with soap and water will be the best advice I will give.
