8 Foods That May Cause Migraine

Did you know that excessive use of caffeine can lead to headaches and migraines? However, once you're used to, you don't have to shut it down at the same time. This can also cause problems.

Migraine is one of the main reasons why people make a doctor's appointment. According to data gathered by the World Health Organisation it’s even one of the main reasons why people can’t do all sorts of things.

It consists of an intense, throbbing pain on one or both sides of the head and is almost always accompanied by dizziness, blurred vision and sensitivity to light. The intense pain can sometimes persist for only a few minutes, although in some cases a few hours or days.

The appearance of migraine is associated with genetic factors, as well as constant stress, hormonal changes and certain incentives.

4. Very processed meats

For anyone who suffers from migraines, are processed meats, such as sandwich filling, absolutely no friend.

These types of foods contain additions such as nitrates and nitrites, which not only increase the risk of cancer, but also worsen inflammation and stimulate the bloodstream to the brain, this can make you suffer from headache.

5. Fried foods and high fat foods

Both kinds of foods raise cholesterol and triglycerides and increase the risk of high blood pressure and cardiovascular problems.

In addition, those foods prevents the metabolism so it’s harder for the body to the give oxygen to the body cells.

6. Too much coffee

Too much caffeine can cause headaches or migraine.

When you are used to a lot of caffeine and you haven’t drinking caffeine in a day it can also have a negative impact on your body.

That's why it's best to check that you swallow not much of it, and also that you not immediately stop drinking caffeine.

7. Chocolate

A small amount of chocolate provides your body by antioxidants and it offers benefits to your circulation and cognitive health.

People who eat too much chocolate have a greater chance of migraines, since the tyramine content affects the vasodilation.

8. Refined grains

Refined flour and other sources of gluten can also be associated with a worsening of the symptoms of migraine. This hard to digest protein caused for those of you who have an intolerance imbalances in the stomach, intestinal and metabolic processes in the body.

People with gluten intolerance or celiac disease will see a lot of improvement when they start to avoid gluten.

Although the foods we have mentioned above is not the only possible causes of migraines, but it's a good idea to limit your consumption of these foods if you do not want your symptoms to worsen.

A healthy diet and plenty of rest can be very useful to avoid this.
