With 135 new cards to be released in mid-April, daily card reveals are likely to begin soon. To make them digestible I will review them by the day as they come out. Let us begin with the first day of reveals! (excluding the announcement day cards themselves which can be seen here.

Murkspark Eel

Mana Cost: 2        Attack: 2        Health: 3
As strictly better River Crocolisk, this card is pretty much confirmed to not see play outside of "Even" decks. Within an "Even" deck though this card has high potential to see play as a good turn 2 play being able to kill many turn 1 cards. In arena this card is highly unlikely to see preference essentially being another River Crocolisk.

Overall this card is decent, unlikely to be strong enough to make "Even Shaman" a meta-defining deck.

Black Cat

Mana Cost: 3        Attack: 3        Health: 3
A decently statted card with Spell Damage, this card is comparable to Soot Spewer although in this case, the "beast" tribe is likely irrelevant to mages. Making this comparison Black Cat is unlikely to be included in any decks other than "odd" decks although it is still a possibility, unlike the upcoming cards. In an "Odd" deck, however, this card is likely to be included as a well-statted draw minion although other alternatives may still be preferred. In arena, this card may be picked just for the decent stats as a body on board.

Overall this card is not as strong as upcoming "Odd" cards in their specific decks but is stronger outside of their decks. This card has potential to see play but I would not be surprised if it was not included in decks.

Gloom Stag

Mana Cost: 5        Attack: 2        Health: 6
An extremely poorly statted card especially compared to currently played taunt cards such as Tar Creeper which is only slightly weaker for 2 less mana, this card is entirely reliant on its battlecry for decently good strength. This makes this card almost certainly only used in "Odd" decks, which is likely an attempt by the dev team to push their new mechanic from this expansion. Due to this, this card will exclusively see play in "odd" decks and certainly be avoided in arena drafts (unless the other cards are just that bad).

Overall this is a very niche card only to be used in "Odd" decks where it will be significantly powerful but not game-winning.

Glittermoth

Mana Cost: 5        Attack: 4        Health: 4
Another poorly statted card with an amazing battlecry, this card will likely be used exclusively in "Odd" decks with no other decks opting to use it. Unless the odd and even decks are powerful enough to be ladder worthy, it is unlikely to see this card be played outside of the first few weeks of the new expansion. Arena wise, this card will almost certainly never see play.

Overall this is another very niche card only to be used in "Odd" decks where it will be extremely powerful and potentially game-winning, or even breaking.

Overall Thoughts

The cards revealed on this day all seem to be an attempt by the dev team to push the idea of Odd or Even decks, however, I feel that the strength variation in the cards make it pretty clear which decks will already be stronger (Priest being highly favoured). Odd or Even decks seem very interesting but maybe a bit too forced on which cards must be played in the decks to make them viable.

On an unrelated note, I just want to point out that every single one of these cards are part of the "beast" tribe. Although they may not affect the classes playing them I feel that they might weaken the "add a random beast to your hand" cards as the likelihood of any of the battecries activating is extremely low.
