Welcome to my Hebrew reading & language series.
Genesis 18:1-5
We are beginning a new chapter today, talking about a visit from the Creator at the tent of Abraham. The visit came in the form of three men. We will see what happened with them next week.
The third word of our reading is the name of God.
At the bottom of the first section we see Adonai.
Both are transliterated as LORD and Lord
Question. What if your grandfather were living in another country. Your father only ever called him "The Boss" and had never mentioned his name. You have heard all kinds of stories about him like, "When the Boss came home from dinner he always had a present for us." How nice those stories are.
So something happens to your father, let's say he is in a coma, and you want to go visit your grandfather but you don't even know his name. Similarly, very few know the name of God. It seems that we should know it if we are to "call on the name of The Lord" at some point to pray or read a psalm.
Food for thought.

Thanks @hebrew
Have a nice day
That is true.
Many people did not know the name of God which should not be so
If we called God our Father then we should know his name.
