WHAT IS APOROPHOBIA
THE APOROFOBIA, FROM THE GREEK "A POROS" (WITHOUT RESOURCES, POOR, INDIGENT) AND "FOBOS" (FEAR, FEAR, REJECTION) REFERS TO FEAR OR REJECTION TO POVERTY, THE POOR, THE "NO RESOURCES" OR THE DISAPPOINTED, IS TO SAY, TOWARDS EVERYONE WHO, DUE TO LACK OF ECONOMIC RESOURCES, LIVES IN EXTREME POVERTY OR ABSOLUTE MISERY.
IT IS THEREFORE, OF A FEELING OF FEAR AND OF ATTITUDE OF REJECTION TOWARDS THE POOR, WHICH ARE ACQUIRED SINCE THE APOROPHOBIA IS INDUCED, CAUSED, LEARNED AND DISSEMINATED THROUGH ALARMIST AND SENSATIONALIST STORIES THAT RELATE TO THE POOR PEOPLE WITH THE CRIME, CONSIDERING IT AS AN ALLEGED THREAT TO THE STABILITY OF THE SOCIOECONOMIC SYSTEM.
THIS TERM WAS CLOSED BY THE SPANISH PHILOSOPHER ADELA CORTINA, CATHEDRAL OF ETHICS AND POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF VALENCIA SPAIN IN THE 1990S TO REFER TO THAT GREAT SEDMENT OF THE WORLD POPULATION THAT LIVES IN INFRAHUMAN CONDITIONS, BEING VICTIMS OF THE DESPISE OF OTHERS.
