İlk olarak, günümüzün insanının en büyük sorunlarından biri hareketsiz kalması ve spor yapmamasıdır. Kimimiz zaman bulamıyoruz, kimimiz de fazla tembeliz. Fakat işe ya da okula giderken bisiklete binmek, sağlığımız açısından yapmamız gereken spor yerine geçebilir. Üstelik bisikleti satın aldıktan sonra (bakım ve tamirat işlemlerini saymazsak) ücretsiz, yani özel aracınıza sahip olmaktan ve toplu taşıma kullanmaktan çok daha ucuz.
Bisikletin ikinci yararı ise gezegenimizi ilgilendiren türden. Dünyamızın en büyük sorunlarından biri küresel ısınma (umarım aranızda küresel ısınmanın varlığını kabul etmeyen yoktur) ve küresel ısınmayla sera gazı etkisi arasında kuşkusuz bir ilişki var. Bisiklet ise bu açıdan tamamen çevreye duyarlı bir araç. Hiçbir zararlı gaz üretmiyor, yani hem sizin için hem de gezegenimiz için çok sağlıklı.
Ülkemizde de bu alanda yapılan çalışmalar var. En yakın zamanda bu çalışmaların başarısını görebilmemiz dilekleriyle...
