Ballpoint sketch with two colors (STEPS)
@arthurgain
Check out this awesome pen sketch walk-through by @arthurgain. He will show you how easy it is to start a drawing with just a pen.......Oh, wait, I should rephrase; how easy it is for him to start with just a pen. If you are like most, your attempt won't look anywhere near this good, but he lays out a nice roadmap for working this way.
Go check out @arthurgain.
The sad queen..!
@az88822
This is such a vintage looking painting. Something about the proportions and the style of this really draw me in. That expression is so powerful.
I am a big fan of the way that @az88822 watermarks art with the Steemit Logo and Username. I am moved to start doing this myself. That way if the picture gets around it might bring some people here.
Go check out @az88822.
Waterfall in the High Desert - 8 * 8 Oil on canvas
@pennyroll
This scene! @pennyroll really nailed it. I feel transported. The color choice is so rich and natural. It is a scene that breathes life into me. That water looks so cool and refreshing against that beautifully lit warm stone.
In the foreground, the stillness and clarity of the pool is a wonderful place to rest for some contemplation.
What is even more amazing to me is that this is only 8 inches by 8 inches. That is always impressive to me when an artist can capture something so whole in such a small space.
Go check out @pennyroll
Multidimensional Krishna-work in progress
@nadversion56
I just found @nadversion56 today, and I am so glad I did. The spectral vision of this artist is remarkable. I would love to see what collaboration work between @nadversion56 and @kathleenscarboro would look like.
This isn't even a completed piece. This is a work in progress on the 6th layer, and there are 8 more layers left to go according to @nadversion56 in this post.
Go check out @nadversion56.
I know you fine people will go show these great artists some love, and I don't just mean an up-vote or a re-steem, but a comment as well. We know it is important to reach out and connect with the human on the other end of the great expanse and let them know our genuine thoughts and feelings.
Want to Get Curated?
What Are We Looking For?
If you want to get your art curated by Helpie then you need to keep these things in mind
- The ARTWORK YOU POST MUST BE YOUR OWN-
......I know how to use Google's Image Search.......Just putting that out there
- It must be clear that the artwork is your own
- If I find you have posted a really great piece of artwork, but when I click on the post I can't tell if it is yours I'm probably not going to stay very long. I'm not saying that you have to write a book about the art you post, but a quick exclamation of ownership and maybe a short backstory. The problem is that there are just too many people out there sharing other people's art and just saying a few words without giving any credit to the artist for the image they are using. It is just too difficult to sort through all of it all the time.
- Extra Points for showing your process- Not only does it make it easier to verify the work is original, I am also very intrigued by watching the process of other artists and I think it benefits the art community here on Steemit.
-
No Digital Works, No Photography - Nothing against the two. That just isn't what this curation is about.

Tuned is how I will stay :)
Thanks again @art-mess for your support of our art community. Your work is appreciated!
So many wonderful artists here on steemit! Thank you for promoting them. I have not seen a music post from you lately so you must be really busy. I can't wait to see more!
So much talent to find. Yes I have been super busy almost non-stop. I had to take Sunday off and go recharge at the beach. I'm still struggling with the time management bit of combining the real world duties with those on Steemit and Discord. Every time I think I have it about figured out I end up adding something the list.
I might have just formed a band. So if that works out there might be a lot more music posts on the way.
Hello, fantastic, how can I join and help make art community on steemit strong? Thank yoíu! @jecminek
Hey buddy. If you are on discord you can find me through the pal server. I have the same username and avatar. I would love to talk to you about how to make the art community strong here.
