Aloha! This is Sophia
Welcome to Manoa Falls; a beautiful, short hiking trail, tucked away in the town of Manoa at Paradise Park. This trail is a very lush tropical paradise tucked away in a quiet town that get a lot of rain and moisture. That means slippery and muddy. So please come prepared with proper shoes and bug repellent.
At the entrance, this Jurassic Park theme invites you into its' lush overgrown plants enveloping the tall trees. Go ahead, stop here. Take a deep breath to take it all in. I will wait.... 
Isn't it amazing how you feel so cut off from the noisy city standing among the jungle? If you close your eyes there's a humming sound but is always intercepted by chatty birds. I always wonder what they're chatting about. Would you like to try it? Go ahead, I will wait some more...
Are you ready to go forward? Okay, here is the trail. On this day it is humid with a slight shower so the ground is wet and slippery. However, there are plenty of plants and tree to protect you from the sun. There's even man-made gravels to lighten the muddy, slippery trail. 
As we keep going along the path, endless beauty keeps introducing itself to you.
At the juncture where this huge trees meets rows of bamboo trees is the midway point. You are almost there.
Here's a known fact to most Asian folks...bamboo shoots are edible. When raw it tastes like crunchy pears; great in salads. It's also very popular in soup. 
Be very careful. The rocks are very slippery but don't worry, we are getting very close. 
And voila! Here is that waterfall. It's not that big today but if you catch it on a rainy day this bugga would be ragging!
