Some Saturdays are best spent snuggled up on a couch with a toasty cup of coffee and your favorite movie. Some are spent getting brunch with some good friends, talking, and laughing about things that probably don't really matter. Some are best spent out in the chilly elements, exploring an icy lake.
Today I got the chance to do all three in Nashville, Tennessee.
Got the chance to try out some new boots. Unfortunately, I had one too many donuts and cracked right through the icy top layer of the lake when the opportunity presented itself.
Sometimes it's just nice to start a Saturday out breathing in some icy air that makes your lungs feel like they have to earn their keep. It was lovely until the park ranger threatened to fine us for going 'off trail.' The sign should have been bigger.
