In 1275 Kertanagara king Singhasari sent troops to conquer the Dharmasraya Kingdom on the island of Sumatra. This troop delivery is known as Pamalayu Expedition. The name of Pamalayu Expedition commander was found in Song of Panji Wijayakrama, Mahisa Anabrang, which means "buffalo crossing".
