According to the opinion of many historians, Christopher Columbus, was born in Genova Italy, however some say he was Spanish, from a young age he devoted himself to the study of geography and navigation he felt great passion for the sea. The father of his wife owned a great amount of books that spoke of great trips and discoveries, studying in these books Columbus came to the conclusion that the earth was round, as Galileo had said years ago, when making such affirmations, Columbus He faced persecution by the wise men of the time, who claimed that the earth was flat.

Columbus fully convinced of the rounds of the earth, concluded that if the Portuguese, who controlled the Indian routes to bring species, sailing in the east, sailing in the opposite direction, that is to say towards the west, would arrive at the same site (the Indies) and so your trip would be shorter.

This was only, according to my opinion, due to miscalculation, due to what had been written about the diameter of the globe for the purpose of making this trip, Columbus asked the King of Portugal for help, who rejected Columbus' intentions by challenging the wise men of the time about the shape of the earth, Columbus was branded as crazy, after some time, increasingly convinced of the round of the earth, Columbus gets the kings of Spain, Fernando and Isabel the Catholic lend their help and pay for the trip. It is said that a contract was signed, where Columbus promised to return, present evidence of the lands he will resist, as well as samples of his wealth, on the other hand Columbus would be named Viceroy of the colonized lands and would receive 10% of the wealth that the Spanish crown could extract it from those lands.

Finally the expedition leaves the port of Palo de Moguer, on August 3, 1492, with 3 caravels: La Pinta, La niña and Santa María. The boat was directed or captained by Columbus himself. Some historians who say that the crew had 120 sailors, however many claim that they were 90, after a long and painful journey through the Atlantic Ocean or the dark sea as it was called this ocean for the time, comes Colon with his men to the Island of Guanahani, named after its natives, to which Columbus, I call San Salvador, it is said that on this trip Columbus lost one of his ships, history does not tell us about human losses, Columbus returns to Spain, after rebuild the damaged ship, after this, the great navigator makes 3 more trips to the new lands and finally dies prisoner and loaded with chains in Valladolid.

We could fill several pages writing about the trips of this great illustrious navigator, but what moves me to write about Columbus, is to leave my admiration for this man very high, since in my opinion Columbus wanted to take away the glory and they have demonized, first of all in my opinion, the kings of Spain for not fulfilling the contract to name him viceroy of the lands that he placed at the feet of the Spanish crown, besides not paying him 10% of the wealth that Spain extracts from they accuse him of absurd things and send him prisoner not to pay what really belonged to the extraordinary navigator on the other hand, many historians ignore the merits of the navigator, claiming that the lands visited by Columbus, had previously been visited by other navigators , which I deny, since there are no historical records, which means that if someone was in these lands I do not return to tell them.

The great thing about Columbus was that the four times he crossed the Atlantic, he returned with new news and that he was also able to prove definitively the roundness of the earth, and that if he had not prevented the lands of Central America, and South America I had reached the Indian women of Asia.

The navigator Columbus left historical records and do not know which is the reason for many to deny him the glory he deserves. Thanks to this great Marino 2 great cultures were mixed and it was not Columbus's fault of the mistreatment of the Indians, since the mission of the admiral was to visit the lands that later colonized the Spanish crown.

Columbus did not have the opportunity to establish a government as viceroy of these lands, since in order to not comply with what was promised, he was imprisoned and his rights violated.

From this humble trench enclosed in my solitude and taking advantage of it to publish what I think, I declare Christopher Columbus, the greatest navigator of all time.
