A few months me and some of my friends vacationed to one of the biggest cities in Indonesia namely Medan. this city is the capital of north sumatra. Maimun Palace has a unique architecture with a blend of several elements of Malay culture in the style of Islam (Middle East), Spain, India and Italy. A glimpse of its history, Maimun Palace is a relic of the Kingdom of Deli. Founded by Sultan Maimun Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah who is the descendant of the ninth king of Deli Sultanate. The palace was built on August 26, 1888 and newly inaugurated on May 18, 1891.
The yellow color that dominates the Maimun Palace symbolizes the color of Malay, as well as the greatness of the Kingdom of Deli in North Sumatra.
