Understanding and Using the Law of Attraction
In this post I'm not going to take sides for or against the "Law of Attraction". What we'll be doing is a review of each school of thought. For the sake of this post we'll be using the abbreviation of Law of Attraction which is - LOA.
It is said that the LOA explains why we are attracted to the things and people in our lifes. Well i don't know how true that is, it is let for you to decide. Here are things you need to know about it.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE LAW OF ATTRACTION.
The concept has been around for many centuries and has been quite popular — and according to report, there principles have been used successfully by great intellectuals minds throughout history. Well according to books like "The Secret", they claim that there’s evidence the LOA was used by Einstein Beethoven, and even Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Its been said that consciously or unconsciously we’ve also used it in our life whether we're aware of it or not!
The LOA theory grew as a result of the teachings of Phineas Quimby in the 19th century. Quimby was diagnosed with tuberculosis and as far as early 19th century medication could do little or no good for tuberculosis. According to my research, Quimby was able to find peace and excitement in horse riding as he was temporarily relieved from his health condition. This prompted him to pursue a study of "Mind over Body". He never used the term "Law of Attraction", According to him:
the trouble is in the mind, for the body is only the house for the mind to dwell in, and we put a value on it according to its worth. Therefore if your mind has been deceived by some invisible enemy into a belief, you have put it into the form of a disease, with or without your knowledge. By my theory or truth, I come in contact with your enemy and restore you to your health and happiness. This I do partly mentally and partly by talking till I correct the wrong impressions and establish the Truth, and the Truth is the cure.
The term "Law of Attraction" appeared in print for the first time in a book written by Helena Blavatsky, it talks about an attractive power that exist among elements of nature.
If this theory is a fact, if it is real, then you can control what you attract into your life.
HOW DOES THE LAW ATTRACTION WORK?.
Basically, this is how it works:
This law allows you to create your own reality. What you constantly emote about and focus on, is what you attract into your life and it becomes your really. What ever you believe is what happens, if this is true then we should emote positivity all the way and daily.
This isn’t as simple as it seems, or everyone would have their choice of lifes that they want naturally.
THE REASON WHY IT WORKS.
Many people wonder why this works, and there is more than one explanation. The two main schools of thoughts go along these lines:
The Spiritual Explanation: Some individuals think that the Law of Attraction works by aligning the universe or God with our wishes. Human beings are all made up of energy that operates at different frequencies that can be changed only with positive thoughts, especially expressing gratitude for the blessings we already have. By emoting positive feelings and thoughts by focusing on our dreams rather than our disappointments and frustrations, and the law of attraction brings positive things into reality in our lives. What we attract all depends on how and where we channel our focus.
The Traditionally Scientific Explanation: this is a lot easier to prove if you’re one who needs things to be lighter this is a different explanation for how the law of attraction works. When we focus on attaining new reality, and not just imagining but believing it is possible, we tend to notice and open ourselves to more opportunities, Conversely, when we don’t believe that something can be made possible for us, we tend to let opportunities pass by unnoticed. This school of thought makes it clear that, when we believe we don’t deserve good things, we behaviours can sabotage our chances at happiness. We reverse the negative patterns in our lives and create more positive energy, by changing our self-talk and feelings about life. One good thing leads to other good things, and the direction of a life can shift from a downward spiral to an upward ascent.
